“Great location, good value, friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

First time in Venice. Found this hotel on TripAdvisor and it is a real gem. Doesnt look much from the outside, but inside it is warm and friendly. The rooms we stayed in were quite small, but comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet street, but very close to the Strada Nuova (lot of shops and cafes). Also close to a ferry stop from the airport. (Complimentary) breakfast was good at the hotel and they leave the room open most of the day so you can get a complimentary snack (or even a glass a wine - very civilised!). You had to pay for Internet access which is a pain in this day and age (BTW nearly all cafes in Venice seem to offer free Internet, so there are options around). To begin with we had two rooms with double beds, but as I have two teenage daughters who preferred to sleep in single beds, I asked if they could be moved to another room. The hotel did this with no fuss. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful.

“Good location to explore Venezia!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

It is a clean and nice hotel, breakfast is quite good. The only thing that might be a problem is the size of the rooms. It is very small but if you just use it to sleep it is ok. :)
The room we stayed in was also very dark, there is a very small window and when you open it the smell from the canal might bother you. The a/c was not working and it was impossible to heat the room. That was a bad point!
In the afternoon complimentary tea / coffee is served with biscuits.
It is close to some good restaurants and shops which is a good reason to choose Una Hotel.

“Lovely Relaxed Hotel Stay in Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

6 of us stayed here in September 2012 for 2 nights after a 5 day Cruise.
I had looked at many hotels in Venice on the internet. We paid full in advance and got a great rate,
This one was a great find ,convenient. to the main street, Strada Nova and Ca D'oro Vaparetto stop ,My friends trusted my choice and were very happy with the hotel,

,Ok, we did have to haul our luggage up and down canal bridges .. but that is part of the fun, and we found 2 local boys who were happy to do porter for us,for a few euro..
The hotel was just as I had expected..an old Venetian building right on a quiet canal,
2 of the rooms were on the first floor . and were clean, spacious and comfortable.
The room on the ground floor annex was smaller. So ask for first floor.. for more space..
Staff were excellent, friendly, helpful,
The breakfast room was small ,could be busy at breakfast times., the breakfast was great, The afternoon tea/ coffee. and wine delightful,, would stay here again

Room Tip: our first floor rooms were great.

“Friendly, quiet and very relaxing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here for our mini moon 17-20th dec. it's a lovely quiet hotel with excellent staff we were made very welcome by Andre on arrival.
The hotel is a short walk from ca d'oro vaporetto station on the other side of strada nova which we found had lots of lovely bars and restaurants.
The rooms were large and very clean with modern air conditioning and tv's.
there is a cosy lounge and complimentary food as drink served from 2pm.
Will definitely be back!

“A lovely pleasant hotel that make you feel so welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

Came to this hotel with my boyfriend as a 21st birthday gift and was on offer on voyage prive. The location of the hotel is a close walk to everywhere such as S. Marco and Rialto Bridge, but was incredibly quiet which was very nice.

Stayed in a superior room that was comfortable, with a personalized pillow selection, the availability of amenities such as manicure sets, shoe cleaners and body scrub mitts all free of charge. Bath robes, toiletries and towels were all at hand, and all rooms had a mini kettle and hot drinks tray which came in handy!

Breakfast had a vast selection and the continuous drinks etc available from 2pm-10pm was a nice touch. The staff were all incredibly friendly, with very good English, especially a night front deskman named andre, who sincerely makes you feel so welcome, and suggested good places to eat, helped with directions etc.

Literally the only downfall is that our room got a little bit warm at times, but im sure that may be down to personal preference of not being too hot, and them turning on the heating as it was winter!

Room Tip: We picked a superior room- which was room 201. A little small, but all you really need for a 3 night...
