“Relaxed lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Had a lovely birthday lunch here. Opted for the set menu at 50 euros per person. The pre-starter of baby scallops was a delight, followed by an equally morish plate of stuffed raviloli then a veal dish for main which was rich and flavoursome. Finished off with a delicious wild strawberry tart. The bread basket was constantly topped up throughout the meal. I found Da Fiore to have a traditional and cosy atmosphere similar to other venice restaurants rather than a flashy Michelin starred feel. Service was pleasant, relaxed and efficient. The murano bread basket and water glasses on the table were a nice touch. It was pricy with the set menu, a glass of prosecco and a bottle of wine but it was my birthday and with the quality of the food and the laid back feel it was a very enjoyable experience.

“Very good food, servicegood but can improve”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Only reason for not giving 5 star rating is the fact that staff waswell meaning, but not very professional (noonecould really speak English very well except the senior head waiter nd the wonderful sommelier). Everything else was wonderful! Very creative and incredibly tasty food (we bought Mara's book :)). Very special place

“Old school, but with a certain taste”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

If you want to find it, you'd better have a guide, take a water taxi or have a gps navigation in your hand. Secluded in a tiny street, on a small laguna, this restaurant reflect what is old, traditional style in Venice.
The service is nicely polite, but without being too polite. The food is simple as good Italian food should be. The experience can be summarized by a very correct, yet a bit expensive meal

“Lovely restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

Ate at this restaurant with my boyfriend for our last night in Venize. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was great. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant. It is pricey though, but I enjoyed it, and it was well worth the money.

“Don’t miss it, best in Venice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Second time around and it never fails. Food is authentic and simple what you looking for in Italian restaurants. Sometimes when hungry back home I dream of this place.
This is one of those places where you propose, and for that purpose reserve the only table on balcony!!
