My husband and I differ on our opinions about this restaurant. It was located near our hotel and we had reservations for our final dinner in Venice. When we arrived, I didn’t receive a good vibe from the maitre’d. This was partially due to the fact that I didn’t want everything from the tasting menu, but he insisted as though I could not see the cost benefit from ordering from that particular menu. My husband said he would take the dessert, which I did not want, so I opted for the tasting menu option. Since my husband and I were ordering very different things, we asked the sommelier to pair each of our courses with glasses of wines. This was one of the highlights of the evening. The sommelier was quite knowledgeable, made some great choices, and, he chose one of the most delicious red wines I had while I was in Italy (definitely seek his assistance if you dine at this restaurant.)
At the end of the evening sirens began to sound to announce the rising tide. We were eating outside and had to quickly conclude the evening because the area where we were eating began to flood. (I debated whether to include this next bit of information, but something that I ate did not agree with me and resulted in a very sleepless night; however, my husband was fine).
