Stayed herenforn5 days and really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was lovely, very clean andthe staff were very friendly. The location was great as it wasn't too close to the main square which meant the local restaurants were relatively cheap. Right next to the sea with some beautiful restaurants. Would defiantly stay again.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Staff were really nice and really helpful. Room was air conditioned and looked nice.
The free Wifi worked well in the room.
About 30 mins walk from St Marks. And 2 mins walk from water bus.
The only faults I have with it is that there was no iron in the room and the door didn't seem to stop all of the noise from outside the room waking us up at night and in the mornings. It was like there was no door there. Maybe check the seals on the doors.
Would stay agian.

Room Tip: Make sure when you go to the room to close the door and see if the noise outside the room carries th...

We just returned from a stay at this lovely hotel in the Doroduro area of Venice....what a find! Perfect location, 5 mins walk to the San Basilio vaporetto station an more then a few fantastic restaurants close by. Who needs anymore? Elegant without being stuffy...cool inside with ac....and a fabulous garden in the rear to boot. Giorgia, our wonderful hostess gave us the top front...canal view #36 with rough ancient beams and frescos walls...3 comfy beds...one single and a king with plenty of room to spread out with a desk and 2 cocktail chairs and table. Our view out the front looked on the Basilo San Sabastiano across the canal. We walked in as the church bells were chiming...what a way to start in be Venice. The bath was as big as a regular room...with marble floor, towel heater, tub and shower...plus bidet...don't forget we're in Europe.? Our side and bath view was a beautiful courtyard/ rooftop view.....magic.
The next morning...I had left the drapes open so I could wake up to the beautiful sight of Basilo S. Sabastiano out my window...glorious. Plus church bells!
We had a huge breakfast provided by the hotel of hb eggs, croissant, meat, cheeses, yogurt, granola, fresh fruits, and .....drum roll....freshly sliced prosciutto...YUM! My son is hooked on the ham here. The waitress made the most amazing cafe con leche ( steamed milk) and expressos....better then any starbucks...sorry girls. We ate in the comfortable breakfast room, but the next day we enjoyed the quiet garden which is set with umbrellas and comfy tables around the fountain. Wish I was back.....

Wonderful, quaint hotel just 20 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. Room was well sized and comfortably decorated. Staff were most hospitable and took the time to identify sights and/or offer suggestions of how to experience the true flavour of Venice. Most accurate with their instructions. Garden terrace is a great escape. Numerous visits to the garden to have breakfast or at the end of the day to wind down. Some guests had children with them but we didn't notice. Hotel was quiet in the evening or maybe because we were too tired from touring to notice the noise. Approx 200m straight walk to water bus station San Basilio. Great experience!

Room Tip: Room was on the second floor overlooking the Gardens. Friends on the 3rd floor overlooking the cana...

San Sebastian was a great little hotel tucked away in a quiet part of Venice. We originally had a first floor room, which was very clean and spacious but had not shower curtain or stall. One had to be very careful when showering, or the entire bathroom would get wet. However, the room was quite large and clean. Very quiet. We asked for a different room and were immediately upgraded to a room overlooking the canal, which had a tub and shower facilities. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Giorgia. Breakfast was average but varied and we could either sit in the eating area or outside in their beautiful garden. Parking is unavailable at the hotel but the front desk directed us to a reasonable public parking which was situated outside of Venice. The hotel is in walking distance to San Marco (about 15 - 20 minutes) and 2 minutes from the vaporetto (San Basil) stop.
We would definitely stay at this hotel again which is a good value for quality and services provided.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist attractions, yet still in walking distance of everything you want to see on a visit to Venice. Rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. Service was courteous and accomodated an early check in upon our arrival. Breakfast was great. I would recommend staying at the San Sebastiano to any of my friends!

Lovely hotel, we booked it to be near the port. A little far from St. Marks tourist areas. Large rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful garden, lovely to sit outside and breakfast. Little bit of a walk to the closest bank machine and the restaurants nearby weren't great, but overall we were very happy with the rooms and service.

Room Tip: Great if you're headed out on a cruise, very convenient
