This hotel is located directly on the Grand Canal, and has a gorgeous view. It was a little difficult to find at first; it is located down it's own side street near a water taxi stop, and is only accessible by either that one street or by the canal. The hotel itself is beautiful both inside and outside. There is a nice patio out front that sits right at the edge of the canal. Breakfast was quite nice, and had a wide selection of things to choose from. While the front desk staff seemed a little condescending at times, the rest of the house and wait staff were very friendly and courteous (especially Junior who was in charge of breakfast most of the time we were there). The room was very well-kept. It had a vintage feel to it without feeling old, including tremendously high ceilings which looked very nice. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
