We arrived at the hotel late in the evening to find that we had been allocated a room in the loft area without a window! We complained the same night and the next day (after a delay) we were moved to a room that let light in through a court yard style window. This was the only room available and were told the rooms with windows were more expensive(?). We had booked the 4 night stay through British Airways and as it is hardly a budge hotel we didn't think we would have to request a window as an added extra. None the less the room/bathroom were pleasant. We were told breakfast was until 11 am but found that items weren't replaced once they run out. We went down at 10am... so that is pretty poor in my opinion. Great location.

Not an awful lot to say really as we didn't spend much time in the hotel. We didn't eat there, we were going to but left it too late and found it to be fully booked.
The hotel was really nice, just what you'd expect of a former palace.
The buffet breakfast was better than l expected-not just the usual cold selection there was scrambled eggs bacon and sausages so no complaints there.
Staff were helpful as you'd expect but a couple engaged in friendly conversation and gave a personal service, Bruna in the breakfast room and a young man who'd just started who made cocktails for us in the bar.
The best thing was our room. We had a junior suite, room 104, it was absolutely lovely. It had 3 windows overlooking the canal which was just a few feet below. The first thing we did was to open the windows and the last thing we did when we left the room was close the windows!
The hotel is opposite the fish and vegetable markets and next to a gondolier ferry-2 euros to cross the canal. It is a very busy location, always something to see, truly excellent!

My wife and I had 4 nights here in August. The hotel is a 17th century Venetian Palace and a listed monument. The main lobby and public areas are inspiring and beautiful. Having breakfast in one of the palace rooms where doubtless many historical figures have sat is wonderful. The hotel has a superb terrace overlooking the Grand Canal opposite the fish markets. A great place to have cocktails or dine. We didn't dine so i can't comment on the food. Very good value for money for Venice.

Just finished a four night stay. Fabulous hotel starting with a friendly and helpful staff. We had an enormous room overlooking the Grand Canal. While sparsely furnished, the look was in keeping with a former wealthy family in 16th century. Bed very comfortable. An enormous dressing and large marble bath with two sinks, bath tub and shower. A great morning full buffet breakfast included along with free wifi. The restaurant was special for romantic dinner with great food and superb cocktails. Definitely would return.

We held our wedding lunch and evening celebration at Ca Sagredo in September 2013 and stayed for a week with our 2 year old son. It was perfect! Every single member of staff was very helpful, they were happy to make arrangements for every detail of the wedding celebration. The music room, where the reception was held, is beautiful and the food was amazing. We made use of the roof terrace for a drinks reception, this provided great views of the Grand Canal. They were extremely attentive to our son's needs on our wedding day during the reception. The room we were allocated was very nice and spacious. The cost of our wedding day and our stay in Venice was no more than we expected and actually seemed good value. We can not think of a single negative to say about this hotel and would not hesitate in going back.

Lovely hotel on the Grand Canal! It is located just steps away from the water bus stop.....and minutes away from great shopping and lots of restaurants! We arrived in Venice early and our rooms were not ready. We had lunch at the hotel on the terrace on the Grand Canal. Not only was the view of the hustle and bustle of the canal terrific, but our Salad Nicoises were delicious!! We would definately stay beer again!!

Room Tip: Choose a room overlooking the canal!!

This hotel would be 5 star on all of the attributes, our room was superb, but I had to mark it down because of one big factor. I needed to book transportation for a group of six travelers from Marco Polo Airport to the hotel. I e mailed the hotel before traveling and ask them how to go about this. They contacted me back offering only one choice (with a driver) for $651.00. After further investigation we paid $149.00 without the unneeded driver. I think they attempted to fleece a paid guest that was trusting that they would be fair.

Room Tip: As far as I know there is only one very expensive room facing the Grand Canal.
