“Beautiful place to stay out of the hustle and bustle.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

The hotel itself was spotless and well maintained. Breakfast was buffet style, offered all you could ask for and was constantly kept topped up. You could ask for omelettes, eggs cooked how you like etc The barman in the Skyline bar recommended and booked a wonderful restaurant for us, he even suggested a local bar for pre dinner drinks and I would say that if you want to try local food at reasonable prices you should visit one or two (The horse steak was lovely and not supplied by Tesco's!). The free shuttle boat only takes 40 people, and whilst it runs frequently, you can not book it or be guaranteed a seat - the public water bus costs 9 Euros one way so not cheap for a short stretch of water. This is a lovely old hotel and I would not hesitate to stay there again. The rooftop pool is only open between May and September, something we wasn't aware of before we arrived. Venice was everything and more and I will definitely return.

Beautiful hotel and very good service, however plan to eat all your meals out. Price of food and beverages are almost triple to what you would pay in other restaurants, bars, cafes in Venice. There are plenty of other places to choose to do your dining and drinking, but Hotel itself is one of the best.

If you want to visit Venice in style, this is the place.
Our flights were scheduled to arrive quite late in the evening, so I pre-booked a water taxi due to the considerable time saving compared to the water bus. I was delighted with the purchase as I excitedly stepped into our private speed boat at the airport dock and zoomed off past the water bus! It also enhanced the arrival experience at the hotel as we were met at the dock by a porter to take our bags.
There was a short wait at check in, but we were delighted to find we had been upgraded to an Executive Suite, even Silver HH status can pay off! The room was fantastic with a separate living room and a spacious bathroom.
The experience was slightly let down by the outrageous prices for food and beverages. If you can get a reasonable rate that includes lounge access then this is one way to mitigate the issue. There is also a supermarket about 10 minutes walk away which is more reasonably priced (leave the hotel by the front door and turn right, keep walking along the main waterfront). Our rate did include breakfast which was a vast spread, so we were sure to get full value including the Prosecco on offer!
Location wasn’t a problem during the stay due to the free shuttle provided by the hotel.

Just returned from a week long trip to Italy with my husband and 2 teenage children. Our first stay was at the Molino Stucky. It is a beautiful renovated hotel. We had a large suite in the tower over looking the canal with views towards San Marco and the Zattere. I was hesitant to stay here as I was concerned about needing to depend on a shuttle to get us over to all the sights. Since we were staying on points, we decided it was worth the inconvenience.
Overall, this is a very nice hotel and the service everywhere was excellent. The wait staff, front desk staff and concierge were all extremely friendly and helpful. The location is easy to get to by water taxi..a 15 minute ride to the train station and about a 20 min water taxi ride from the airport. If I were to return to Venice I am not convinced I would stay here again ONLY because of the location. I enjoyed being on the canal and having the beautiful views of Venice from my window but I did not like having to watch the clock and plan our touring around the shuttle service. I did look into the public ferry service as it runs more frequently than the complimentary hotel shuttle and is convenient to the hotel. I just prefer to come and go without a schedule. If it had been raining during our visit this would have been an even bigger issue in my opinion.
Again, great hotel, beautiful rooms, wonderful service and frankly nicer than many Hilton's in the US, just consider if you mind taking a shuttle to get any where.

This hotel has all the hallmarks of an American hotel chain in Europe. It’s full service and has American-sized rooms. And it’s quite unique being across the canal requiring a ferry to get across to Venice proper. The building was an old mill, adding even more charm to the hotel. The service was excellent from both the front desk and Concierge. We are diamond members with Hilton and had access to the lounge which was in the lobby, separated by a glass wall. It had a light breakfast, treats throughout the day and free beer/wine happy hour at night. The rooms themselves were clean and neat, beds comfortable, and a very spacious bathroom with bidet. The TV had numerous channels, including many in English. Overall a great stay, you just got to watch the ferry schedule to get back and forth to the hotel. There is public ferry service from the airport to the hotel. It makes multiple stops, requiring an hour and half transit time. Or you can hire a private water taxi… but that costs big money! Overall, a great stay.

We had an enjoyable stay in this stylish and comfortable hotel which has been converted from a historic building into a modern hotel on the Guidecca with great views towards San Marco. Room was comfortable with views over the Lido. The Sky Bar on the roof was excellent ( but not cheap of course) for a drink at dusk and we were lucky to have a great sunset. Breakfast was good with a large selection in 2 large rooms. Hotel provides a great alternative to staying in the more central parts of Venice and might therefore suit someone returning rather than staying for the first time. The free water bus shuttle to San Marco and Zattere was really convenient but watch the departure times as they are only every 40 minutes or so with gaps at lunch and supper time. With the regular waterbus costing euro 7 minimum this is a good service. Really easy to get to from the airport as the "blue line" waterbus stops right outside. We were given access to the Executive Lounge" as Gold card holders. This is part of a shared bar strangely partitioned from the main bar by bars and glass - would have preferred something separate. Snacks were ok but nothing too exciting and alcoholic drinks are available for a short period in the early evening. Only frustration was with check-in where we were told we had booked a standard room and had been been upgraded to a de-luxe room. We had in fact booked a de-luxe room and per-paid and I am getting tired of hotels pretending to give upgrades when they haven't. Apart from that a great stay.

Room Tip: If you can't get a view of Venice ask for a high room with views of the Lido.

Stayed at this hotel when I went to Europe for about 10 days to visit my niece who was living in Slovakia. The hotel is in the former site of a factory and the restoration included leaving beautiful old beams visible even in the rooms. Visiting Venice is marvelous and this hotel felt equal to the greatness of this great city. I used the spa and loved it. The only other thing I wanted to add is that I am on a gluten-free diet and one afternoon, we were in the lobby for a late lunch and politely asked the server to take back the full basket of rolls and just bring two for my husband, since I couldn't eat any; within minutes, our server returned with not only gluten-free rolls, but crackers also! Amazing.
