My husband and I started our month in Italy with our first week at B&B Sandra. What a wonderful decision that was in every way. Location is away from the tourist crowds, eating local was a treat, close to all things one wants to do and see while in this unique city.
Our room was very comfortable and spotless, as was the home of Sandra and Leonardo. Breakfast was another delight every morning -- what a fabulous cook Sandra is -- I tried to convince my husband he wouldn't enjoy the homemade cakes she would leave in our room for our end of day return. [ more for me ]. But it NEVER worked !!
All of these glowing comments are well backed up by the MANY other reviews -- But the glue that makes it all work so well is Sandra and Leonardo. What a charming, delightful team they make. More than happy to give any help, or answers to questions you may have.
We can't speak highly enough of our week at B&B Sandra -- if a hotel experience is not what you are looking for -- then look no further.
Our only one regret is that we had to leave this wonderful home after only a week --
Paula and Joe [ Australia ]

My son and I recently stayed at B and B Sandra and our stay was perfectly wonderful. Our expectations were exceeded in every way. Sandra and Leonardo are the most gracious, kind, caring, and hospitalable hosts. The service they provide is outstanding. Their home is beautiful, filled with antiques and warmly decorated. Our room was large, comfortable and very quiet. The location is great-away from the crowds in a neighborhood with wonderful resturants along a small canal. Go to Al Timon.
Sandra went above and beyond answering my questions and meeting our needs. She was kind enough to bring extra blankets when it was unseasonably cold and warned us of the time to be home before flooding.
Best of all were her fabulous breakfasts. They were the most delicious in all our travels. Every day she made homemade cakes which were among the best I have eaten, and Sandra would then leave the cakes in our room for us. It was nice to come back for afternoon coffee and cake. We looked forward to her delicious cakes in our room. If you are lucky, she will make her savory tart for you. I would like to go back just for baking lessons from her. You will not find a more delicious breakfast in all of Italy.
Sandra and Leonardo truly have the gift of hospitality and will make your trip to Venice so much more enjoyable. Staying with them will be a pleasure.
Sandra B and B is truly a great find in Venice and I would not consider staying anywhere else. Thank you Sandra and Leonardo for making our time in Venice so special.

Room Tip: All the rooms are quiet and private.

My partner and I recently stayed at BnB Sandra for 4 nights. We wanted somewhere that looked nice, had great food and was in a good area. We also wanted somewhere close to all the main attractions in Venice. Following our wedding, our budget was limited and we knew it would be difficult to find such a place however we were overwhelmed with the great value this bnb provided and will definately be staying here again. We had the top room with roof terrance which was immaculate and adorned with treasures from many adventures across the globe. The room was spacious considering it was in an attic and was cool. Breakfast was fantastic with much to offer and dining with other guests was a high point for us as Paul loves to talk and we were able to compare travel stories with other guests. Every room has a fantastic view and the place is very welcoming. You feel like you live in Venice when you stay here! Finally Sandra and Leonardo are fantastic hosts and quickly opened up and were soon telling us about all the sites and giving us maps and books to aid our trip around Venice. They are a great couple who are thoughful and will help with anything you may need during your stay. Sandra left us some cake each day to have with our afternoon tea and this was very welcome indeed! They also brought us a bottle of Prosecco and some nuts to enjoy on the roof terrace and wished us a very happy life together...i don't know about you but its these thoughts that always make me book places like these over hotels. Thankyou Sandra and Leonardo for a wonderful stay we will remember our trip for a long time.

Room Tip: For somewhere romantic with a great view of the canals pick the top room however if you are on a che...

We have just returned from our fifth visit to this hidden jewel in the heart of Venice. Sandra and Leonardo continue to delight with their outstanding hospitality and comfortable, elegant accommodation.

My wife Kathleen and I along with our friends Steve and Gail, just returned from our vacation in Italy. We had the opportunity to spend two nites at B&B Sandra. Sandra and her husband Leonardo were great hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. The breakfeasts were absolutely great, I can still taste those select meats and chesses along with the breakfeast cakes, everything you could possibly want and more... !

We had the opportunity to stay in the top attic apartment, lovely, along with roof top garden, what a fantastic view of Venice from the top of their home, on a clear day you can see the snow capped peaks of the Dolomites, and at the same time watch the local canal traffic meander their way through Venice. We shared a bottle of good wine with our travel companions, Steve and Gail, and totally absorbed the flavor of Venice from our roof top perch !

Sandra and Leonardo provided great accomodations along with being helpful and quite friendly and their restaurant recommendations were right on target, although I think you would have trouble finding a bad meal in that area...

Our only regret is that we were only in Venice for two nites, not nearly enough, May 11th and 12th, but what a great time...

We stayed April 1st to April 4th. Host and hostess could not have been more helpful. They were attentive and relaxed. We were left to ourselves, but if anything was required, service was prompt and advice was freely given. The breakfasts are varied and nutritious, with home cooked savouries and cakes a regular feature. The best thing about the house is the large lounge/dining room which guests may use at any time. It has excellent canal views. This B+B is really close to the Grand Canal, and has easy access to all parts of the city. The best approach from Marco Polo is by boat to Fondamente Nove, from which it is an easy short walk. This place is a real gem, and we would gladly stay here again if we come back to Venice.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Canal Room. It isn't the biggest room that Sandra has to offer, but is very go...

We're still processing our trip, and will write a more detailed review later and post some pictures. But in the meantime, we loved it here. Sandra was so sweet, offered up some great places to eat, and even made reservations for us. Her breakfasts.... AMAZING!!!! The only drawback, was we felt we needed to be quiet at night when we got in, as their room was right above us. It's in a quiet neighborhood, but can be a bit of the schlep if you're coming back late at night. But, we loved it!
