Basic cheap accomodation near Venice, there is a shuttle bus from the campsite to Venice itself throughout the day.
More for the backpacker type person. Like people have said before the runway of the airport is id say half a mile away from the campsite! Take some earplugs as they start to take off around 6.30 am!
But overall good to use a base to explore Venice for a couple of days max before the campsite starts to depress you a bit!

This place came out as the only campsite near Venice on Google so we decided to stay there. But we stayed there for only 10 min and decided to leave. It is very close to the airport so you can hear every single plane landing or taking off. So loud! We were extremely dissapointed. The washing machines did not work, the toilets were out of order so they told us to use two lodges. They were horrible. This place would only suit young travellers who dont mind the noise and basic facilities. Do not stay there if you want to relax. Search for campsites at Cavallino Treporti. It is about an hour away but you can stay there for a very good money and there are several campsites to chose from. And to get to Venice you can take a waterboat .

The location was great for a late night flight into Venice, about 1.7 km's away. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. They sell a buffet breakfast which on the first two mornings was missing several items and was not as advertised. When I queried this, the young man working at the restaurant threw his arms in the air saying "what the hell must I do about it and if you not happy then don't eat breakfast" amongst many other things! I got quite annoyed with his attitude and firmly put him in his place. The next morning the breakfast was all there - along with the dirty looks from him, but I think this is unnacceptable.
I think the campsite is great, but for younger folk who are there to have fun and party late into the night. I stayed in a twin suite which was unbeknown to me before arriving adjoining another twin suite and you can hear everything the neighbours are doing as if the were no division or wall inbetween.
If you want peace, quiet and a good standard of service then this is definitely not the place for you, but if I were younger and still partied a lot then I know I would have enjoyed a stay here.

We found the camping ground to be a good place to stay, but the planes travelling overhead were very noisy, the supermarket and shop hours were not long enough, the location was good but not the best. The swimming pool was great. The bungalow was very small for the 3 of us - crawling all over each other in the small space! Probably wouldn't stay again unless we just wanted to relax instead of looking around Venice, and perhaps only had 2 of us in the one bungalow instead of 3.

Room Tip: Don't book a bungalow for more than 2 people, too small

I'll admit, we were worried when we booked here as it's quiet far from the city, but there are plenty of buses and it's only about 2Euros in and out. The accommodation is surprisingly good! We were in a twin share bungalow with a private bathroom and air-con (fantastic value). The pool area is very tempting and there's good laundry facilities. There's a really nice vibe too, everyone is friendly -probably because drinks are so cheap-. The only thing I could fault would be wireless as it was only available in one spot on the grounds. Great accomo for budget travellers.
