“A 3 star hotel with 5 star heart”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

Venice is a somewhat frequent destination for me, and this is my favorite hotel thus far. The rooms are lovely and generously sized and the bathrooms are impressive, especially for Venice. Frederico and his team are all very helpful and courteous - quick to encourage your Italian attempts, or speak English easily, whichever you need. The breakfast service is so nice, with an option to have it in your room if you prefer. Location makes it easy, but tucked away enough that it's not too loud. A 3 star hotel with 5 star heart.

Room Tip: I had the room right next to the elevator, which made me nervous, but it turned out to be great. Th...

If you are looking for a romantic get away that captures the true Venice experience, this is where you will want to stay. Location is excellent, staff was amazing and so helpful with any questions you may have. Breakfast was lovely and if requested could be delivered to your room. We travelled in Europe for 4 weeks and stayed in many different hotels that ranged in price and Relais Venezia was right on the mark for what you pay for and what you get. If we come back to Venice, we will be staying here again for sure!!!

Lovely Frederico, so helpful on our arrival and through out our stay. Breakfast a delight every morning, with fresh fruit, croissants & tea. The view from our window was only out shone by the Venice stars through the skylight at night. Close to San Marco Square, but then everything in Venice is but a walk away.......truly a memorable stay.

Overall an excellent stay.
Firstly the Hotel is very hard to find. Don't rely on people give you directions because they sent us in the wrong direction, so we'd advise you to prepare well for that and make sure you read the email They send out giving you directions.
The location of the Hotel is excellent, very close to St Marks Square. The service is excellent hotel staff are very polite and helpful and they went out of their way to look after us.
Breakfast is very basic but apart from that a very good experience and we would highly recommend it.

Stayed for just one night in this lovely hotel and really enjoyed the experience. The location is excellent, very near the Piazza San Marco, but in a small and not so busy street (although it can be kind of hard to find, even with the detailed instructions they send by e-mail). We booked 2 rooms (a double and a triple) and both were nicely decorated and very clean. The place does have stairs, and we had an elderly lady in our party, but they were able to accommodate that, providing us a room with elevator access. The guys at front desk are really nice, very helpful and polite (sorry I don´t remember their names). Breakfast is good and can be served in your room. The place is really charming and we had a wonderful time there!

This is a nice , boutique style hotel, and for the most part is what you expect from the hotel website pictures.

Our room was smaller than we expected, but the standard of finish was good.
The breakfast was adequate, but nothing special
I was surprised that if you stay less than 3 nights they expect you to pay cash, particularly given the room rates.
We were on an upper floor, and not having a lift was a chore.
Location was good, but ask the hotel to send you a detailed map as it is difficult to find.
Had it Been a bit cheaper, I would have given this hotel a higher rating

This hotel is really beautiful if a little difficult to find. Asking people how to get there, no one has heard of it as there are so many little streets that locals don't know the names of all of them. Saying that - it is actually only 2 mins from St Marcs Square so make sure you are clear on a map if you are walking from the water taxi otherwise you could walk miles! Can't stress this enough to you to be sure of your directions.

The people in the hotel are very friendly and nothing too much trouble. We booked the top price room at the top of the hotely - very Italian shabby chic and beautiful and had everything you need and especially air con in the mad heat!

We didn't pay for breakfast however this did look very basic, croissant and yoghurt.

At night it is very quiet - we had great sleeps as it was silent around this area so perfect!

The only downside to this hotel was the stairs - they have a lift but this only goes to the first floor and the best room we booked is right at the top so we had to walk up steep flights of stairs - about 6! Not great at all when you come back from outside really hot - however it was worth it as the room was beautiful and well worth the price.

Room Tip: As we did not see the other rooms we can only say the room we had at the top was fantastic, however...
