We stayed at Il Giardino for a long weekend in October. It absolutely lived up to the reviews we read on Trip Advisor! Our room was large and very comfortable. We had a room on the first floor which overlooked the garden. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was really nice with a large bath and shower attachment. All very modern! There was hairdryer, tissues, cotton wool pads and lovely shampoo and conditioner etc.
The breakfasts were fantastic. Plenty of fresh bread, croissants, cereals, eggs and fruit. Lovely coffee and happy to make lattes or cappuchinos and refills! The staff were so friendly and attentive, particularly the night manager who went out of his way to book lovely restaurants for us on a busy Friday and Saturday night. Both restaurants were excellent. Don't take a water a taxi unless you have lots of luggage - it is only a 10 minute walk to the hotel from Piazzale Roma. Ok, it wasn't cheap but I have stayed in cheaper hotels in Venice which were awful. I'd love to stay again when it's warm enough to breakfast in the lovely garden.
