Once you find Domus Orsoni you will be quite enchanted as the building has a gorgeous entrance, garden, and view of the Venetian roofs. However, we arrived late (8pm flight) and catching the Alilaguna we had to wait till 9.45 to leave the airport.. We got to Guglie (the boat stop) at around 10.30 and then promptly got lost even though we had a print put of the directions, two maps etc.. Nearing 11pm I decided to ring Valentina who thankfully answered the phone and can speak English, which given how stressed I was, was a relief. She promptly sent a hotel employee out to find us. I am very grateful how friendly, professional and efficient all the staff were. The room was nice and spotlessly clean. I would recommend you arrive in the day if possible as the next morning, we realised the entrance to the street was being renovated and so we missed the sign and maps with side streets, well, we didn't find one. The sign for the hotel is tiny so I am not sure if we would have found it especially at night. So if you see a Tabacchi you should be near the alley that weaves to the hotel, just left off the Guglie stop.
