“Perfect Stay in Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

We stayed two nights in room 301 which had a balcony and table for two. The room was small but tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable. The balcony terrace overlooked a private wooded courtyard and the Dogi palace. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the breakfast of croissants filled with fruit and omelets. We arrived late back to the room while the staff was cleaning up the restaurant and we asked if we could purchase a bottle of wine to enjoy on the terrace of our room. Well they practically tripped over each other getting us a very nice bottle. Whoever was running the restaurant event sent back the first selection to get us a better quality wine. They supplied a cooler sleeve and wine glasses. We ate at their restaurant for lunch and the service was great and the food was good and reasonably priced. Will definitely come back again. Great value for the location and they made us feel very welcome.

Room Tip: Loved the terrace room 301 overlooking the private courtyard and Dogi palace.

Stayed four nights in the single room and it really is shoebox sized! But it's immaculately maintained and the bathroom, tiny also, is very nice. It's quiet, despite being only a few minutes walk to San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, the waterfront and the hubbub of all the shops and restaurants in the area. Breakfast was great - and very generous. The staff were all friendly and helpful and I'd recommend this place if you're staying in Venice.

My husband and I stayed in this romantic boutique hotel for two nights and found it outstanding. Perfect location near San Marco square and Doges palace. The tiny room was beautiful with everything one would expect in a first class hotel. In room 301 we enjoyed our private terrace to sip prosecco in the evening. The included breakfast was ample, with cappuccinos and omelettes with fresh mushrooms and cheese. Staff were very helpful. For the price in Venice, you can't go wrong with this lovely little hotel.

So easy to find and such a great spot for a Venice vacation. The room was very small, but the top notch bathroom more than made up for it. I've never seen such a great bathroom in an Italian hotel - and i've been in many of them! My boyfriend and I had such a great experience - we slept in and missed breakfast, but the staff was nice enough to make us a cappuccino! Would definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and would definitely come back!

We stayed for three days at an apartment that had two bedrooms that was very nice. It has a small bathroom but comfortable. The kitchen was very nice but we did not use it as we ate out every night. It has very good internet connection and CNN and BBC on the TV. I would recommend this apartment to anyone.

The Ca' dei Dogi is in an excellent location just behind the Doge's Palace and close to the vaporetto stops on the Grand Canal. The room we had was small but well equipped and the toilet/shower room was to a high standard. There is a roof terrace where you can relax and some rooms have small private balconies.

Breakfast; fruit, yogur, croissants and omelettes, was served in a small room next to their restaurant, where hotel guests receive a 10% discount.

We paid 170 euros per night for the room, which is very good for central Venice.

The hotel's location is it's strong point, we were able to be very near the front of the queue for St Mark's Bascilica (opens at 9:45) without having to rush breakfast.

Ideally located behind the doges palace, the hotel is perfectly situated for the tourist sights, access to the Vaporetti and local restaurants and bars/cares. Despite being only 100m or so from the busy waterfront and Piazza San Marco, it's location is quiet and serene. Indeed you get a great glimpse of the other side of the Ponte dei Sospiri from the lane way near the hotel, far from the maddening crowds. Though the rooms are not large, remember none are in Venice as space is ata premium. They are clean, tidy, meticulously maintained and if you get a balcony outside, are just perfect for your needs. A glass of Soave looking at the rear of the Doges Palace in receding sunlight is a rare treat.
Will definitely book again on a return to Venice. John and Donna
Ps. Order the omelet with mushrooms for breakfast from the lovely Michele.
