“A perfect experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

We just recently returned from a 3-night stay at Ca' San Giorgio and already miss it. In fact, we extended our stay in Venice from 2 to 3 nights and were upgraded to a junior suite - a lovely room with a nice balcony. Before arriving, we were greeted by the staff via email and got directions on how to reach the B&B. Everyone we met at Ca' San Giorgio was so friendly and helpful (e.g., we got great recommendations for dinner, boat tours, shopping places, etc.) to make our first visit to Venice truly unforgettable. The location is convenient, rooms are very clean, and the buffet-style breakfast was yummy every morning with savory and sweet items, pastries, yoghurts, fruits, cereals, coffee and juice. Already hoping to return we would definitely stay at Ca' San Giorgio again - thank you for everything, we hope to see you again soon!!

We strongly recommend Ca San Giorgio (seek out more information at www.casangiorgio.com/). This gothic building, formally a convent, has been restored to create, what can only be described as a series of elegant suites. All this can be found a few yards from the foot ferry (gondola traghetto) at San Marcuola on the Grand Canal. Motorscafi stop here, but vaporetto stop at San Stae, a short walk away.
Ca San Giorgio includes double rooms – our room had a balcony that looked down over the footpath to the foot ferry across the Grand Canal, ideal for painting and sketching. Other suites have view of the lovely interior court - the top floor room opens out to your own private balcony with views across the city.

Ca San Giorgio offers a continental breakfast, the bread and pastries were fresh that morning and, as an espresso lover, I was not disappointed. If tea is your morning drink, that’s no problem.

You’ll find an excellent welcome at Ca San Giorgio the “buon giornio” and smiles are “real” - staff were very helpful. Their advice was spot on; they made bookings for us at restaurants and researched opening times of Venice’s numerous tourist sites
But, like many small hotels in Venice, there was no lift – ah well nothing is perfect – but staff offered to bring our luggage to our room

The place is charming! The staff is really nice and helpful.
Peaceful and quiet, perfect. Not to close from the Rialto (20 minute walk) which makes it really quiet.
The prices ans really good for Venise.

Room Tip: One of the room has a balcony where you can have breakfast!

When you work to a budget you worry what you will get..Ca' San Giorgio was stunning...close to the train,....lovely old building that has had the interior transformed to to modern times, but some of the old features are still there... We arrived at 9 in the morning and were just going to leave our luggage,.. but Anna gave us a coffee, map and handy hints for our day of touring. Our room and bathroom was spacious and clean/breakfast was great...When we were preparing to leave Anna inquired what our movements were and gave us some vital information in regardss to the train/bus system as well as calling our next hotel inquiring the easiest way to get there.....However, Venice is full of steps and you do have to go over a couple bridges to get to Ca"San Giorgio....if you struggle with stairs, ask for a downstairs room.

Room Tip: If you struggle with stairs, ask for down stairs room.

Good Location..10 mins walk from the train station. few minutes walk to Vaporetto( San Stae stop).Great B&B..we stayed 2 nights in Ca san giorgio,Venice..got upgraded to a superior room...neat & tidy room...awesome breakfast especially the home made croissants was delicious...If they could start the service at 7.30, it would have been better...We booked our tour packages in the hotel itself..3 island tour, gondola ride, St Marks Basilica.. all in one day thro' http://www.tours-venice-italy.com...Awesome Venice and great place to stay.

Room Tip: Superior room are good and spacious.

we only spent 1 night here in Venice, I have never felt so welcomed and relaxed. The hotel is located only 8 mins from the train station and 4 mins from the boat station. The bathroom is super clean and modern. Breakfast is fantastic. I will definitely go back.

We spent 3 wonderful nights here in july this year. A stunning small hotel, spotlessly clean. very comfortable, and modern conveniences. location was perfect, mere minutes to vaporetto, and railway station. Far enough away from St Marks and the usual tourist haunts, but a gentle stroll to everything. Breakfast was excellent, fresh coffee, croissants etc. the staff amazing
