“Cute guest house, excellent location”

Maurizio was an excellent host! For the money, this place cannot be beat in Venice: right in between the train station and the main attractions in Venice, working internet (and decently quick), and a solid breakfast.

We stayed five nights here and would recommend it to anyone. Our room was spacious with a king size bed and nice bathroom. There was a larger room next door where a family stayed. Breakfast included boiled eggs, sliced meats, cheeses, croissants, rolls, coffee, juices, teas. The owner, Maricio ( I think that's his name; that's what we understood and that's what we called him!), was so helpful and friendly. He told us he's opening a new B & B near here with only 4 rooms but very nice, so you may want to check it out when it's open. This place is clean and bright and convenient to everything near the Rialto bridge.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the little canal. It was nice.

This was our first time to Venice and it certainly wont be our last! We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel, we would definitely rebook this hotel again and recommend to others who are planning a trip to Venice. Although situated down a narrow passageway it was easy to find and is well signposted even at night. We had a late night check in due to an evening flight and when we arrived everything was ready for us. We had a lovely continental breakfast with lots of variety of food and drink. The room was very comfortable with kettle, tea facilities, wifi and a hair dryer, which were a lovely added touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful, showing us where all the places were to visit and even appreciated our attempts at a few Italian words. On our last morning Easter Sunday we were presented with an Easter egg, beautifully wrapped, it was a lovely gift to receive. I would like to thank the staff at the Locanda for making our stay so memorable and we hope to see you again.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a trip around Germany, Austria and Italy. I parked my car at the airport (Car park 4 at about 5 euros a day) which is approx 100 meters to the waterbus stop serving Venice. Due to the drive from Austria, we arrived late but found the hotel with no problems and the door key with a letter was waiting for us. Headed up to our room on the top floor, a double with private bathroom and it was lovely. Plenty of room, comfortable bed and a view of the Grand Canal without being right next it (No noise). The breakfast each morning was plenty and the owners (And cleaning lady) were very friendly. The free wifi on both laptop and mobile was fast and yes you can make a cup of tea/coffee (which was nice after the long days out). The hotel is walking distance to all the main tourist sites, but far enough away to have your little space at the end of the day. Just a short stroll from the hotel is the fish market, where you can get a gondola across the Grand Canal for 2 euros per person. It only takes a few minutes but if you would rather not pay 80 euros for 30 mins (unless you share), at least you get the experience, a few snaps and been on a gondola t-shirt! If ever in Venice again, I would look to stay here first. Thank, Mark.

Room Tip: Top floor double with private bathroom.

This hotel was recommended by a friend and it was everything she said and more, we loved it. Its down a tiny alley but the instructions sent to us on how to find it were brilliant we had no problems finding it. Our room D looked out over a small canal which was noisy if the window was open but that only added to the atmosphere, if closed the double glazing meant it was very quiet. The room was off the breakfast room but we were never woken up by any noise at all in the four nights we were there. This was the biggest room we had in Italy and the bed was very comfortable there was also a kettle and tea and coffee in the room, very unusual. Breakfast was cereal, yogurt, bread rolls, prosciutto, cheese and croissiants and always plenty. Wifi was patchy in the room but good in the breakfast room. The best thing though is the location you feel like you are staying in the middle of everything, close to the Rialto steps, restaurants and the ferries. The price is very good for Venice.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the canal we were in room D and it was great

We're so happy to read your words and appreciation. This in particular makes us wonder that nowadays everyone of us has every sort of tool available, which allows to know what to expect when coming to Venice from the "other side of the world".
On the other hand, there is still that bit of uncertainty that makes us champ at the bit until we reach our destination.
Therefore a recommendation by a friend is always that "something more" that reassures us, and we are proud you followed the recommndation and found yourself confortable here.
We hope to have you again as guest next time.

We stayed in a room overlooking our very own canal. It's a really charming B&B and I highly recommend staying here. The breakfast was good, the best part is that I ate my breakfast in bed every morning. It is nicely tucked away from the main centre but still a really short, beautiful walk to the Rialto.

We really enjoyed our stay at this B&B , the location was very good in the Rialto area, a comfortable room, the kettle a bonus, a rarity in Venice, a really ample breakfast in nice surroundings, the staff were very helpful, if I had to find fault the room maid could of done a little more, but all in all a very happy stay,
