We visited Venice first in 2008 and were really happy with Alloggi Marinella - great staff, lovely location, perfectly clean. We are here again in 2015 and it's still great. Really happy and would highly recommend.

This is a quiet small hotel/guesthouse located close to the bus and rail stations and convenient for water transport to the islands and other parts of Venice. I stayed in the ground floor room next to the breakfast room and found this to be quiet and well laid out. This would be ideal for the less mobile visitor and was spacious with a very efficient shower.. Breakfast was a continental style choice which filled me up until well past lunchtime. Staff were really friendly and helpful and there was a nice family feel to the whole, so much better than a large impersonal hotel and much cheaper.

Room Tip: The ground floor room number 15 would be great if not too mobile.

We loved this place. We had a gorgeous little room at the very top of the building. We loved staying out of all the fuss of Venice, it is still very easy to walk in, and we actually had a far better time staying out a little way with better food, wine and service in the surrounding areas than when we stayed right in the centre of Venice when we returned from our cruise.
Our favourite part of this place was the fantastic service. When we arrived without any questions from us we were given a map and lots of recommendations for good areas to visit and eat at, all of those recommendations were spot on. We left our bags in the downstairs area while we went strolling on the day of our checkout and when we returned I was presented with my phone which I had accidentally left in our room.
Everyone keeps commenting on the breakfast which I guess wasn't huge, but the croissant was lovely and fresh, the yogurt was lovely, we had tea and coffee brought to our table and I ate lovely fresh plums. This is only a little establishment with a few rooms. We thought it was great and would recommend it happily.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

Before leaving for Venice we made our reservation trough Hotel.com for an Hotel in Venice that wasn't too expensive but had Air conditioning and was kids friendly since I was the only adult with three kids ages 15,12 and 9. The chosen hotel was "Hotel al Malcanton" but when we arrived they hadn't received our reservation so they hadn't a room for us! the Hotel director quickly found us a new accommodation and we ended up at the Locanda Marinella. This new accommodation was exactly what I was hoping for and more. Not only very welcoming (both the place and the owner) but very charming and with all the comforts and amenities of a traditional hotel without its hustle and bustle.

Room Tip: Very few rooms, book ahead!

Very modern very clean and very good service and ideally located if your joining a cruise liner. It is near the piazza Roma bus terminal and st Lucia train station. Only had one bridge to cross although this was Constitution bridge. Good job there were no more like that whilst pulling luggage as Venice is not luggage friendly because of all the bridges which all have steps. Free wifi in the lounge and breakfast under the gazebo in the garden was novel. Breakfast was sparse and consisted of croissants, tea, coffee, cereals, toast with butter and jam and it was fresh. Lovely place and would definitely recommend staying here. Bedroom was a good size and had a great shower in the ensuite.

Room Tip: Ideal location if you are pulling your luggage as it is near the train and bus station also ideal if...

Stayed here two years ago and gave it five stars mainly because it was clean and a perfect location to get in and out of the city and to the cruise port. This time, I have to deduct a star for two reasons: the same old scant breakfast and the hard uncomfortable bed. The breakfast comprised a croissant, jam, not so fresh fruit, a packaged pastry, two juices and coffee. Many other reviewers have commented on the mediocre breakfast but the owners don't seem to care. In Bologna, we feasted every morning on high quality food.

On the positive side, the place was clean and quiet, and we received good service. Again, an excellent location just a few minutes walk from the bus station. Only two small bridges to haul your luggage over.

6 of us (3 couples) stayed her one prior to our cruise departing from venice recently.

It is perfectly situated close to piazza Roma which is where the airport shuttle bus arrives. Only one bridge to cross and easy to find .

The property is lovely and has lots of character and boast a lovely garden where it is possible to enjoy a continental breakfast.

The rooms nicely decorated and extremely clean. Bathrooms are nice and have bath and show facilities. They are also air conditioned and there is adequate space for luggage.

The hosts are extremely friendly and will go out of there way to make sure your stay everything is in place.

If departing on a cruise from Venice again we would definitely choose Alloggi Marinella to stay.

Delightful little property!
