“First visit to Venice and not dissapointed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

Just returned from a weekend break booked through Expedia. We had an economy room (101) on the ground floor overlooking the canal. It is small but adequate as we only used it for sleeping! En suite bathroom & shower were fine.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Tilly was a mine of useful information. The area is quiet but reasonably close to all the attractions. Local restaurants and bars were very good. We ate at 40 Thieves, Ostaria Da Rioba and Osteria Bea Vita. We enjoyed the experience at all of them.Plenty of local seafood and vegetarian options
Wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again

it wad a palace that transform into hotel, maybe 20 rooms, like big house.
he took me there to purpose, and it was perfect.
the breakfast was divine, very personal , first time ever to get good cafe at europe, great cakes, fresh fruits.
the rooms are so royal, the desk man was so nice, helped us in everything, even find us ice and bucket to put the champaign in when doing the gondollas cruise..
we stayed there 3 night, and this place it's highly recommended.

We booked the superior suite for three nights and received a call the day before we flew out to say they had double booked. We were pretty much forced into accepting the junior suite for two of the three nights with only a small discount (although any discount took persuasion). Apart from that we loved the hotel. We ended up with a junior suite with canal view for the first two nights and while a little small the decor was stunning. The superior suite for the last night was superb. Large, spacious and airy, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast left us a little wanting with little variety and while the wifi was free it didn't work in the room which was a little annoying. On the whole we really enjoyed the ambiance of the place and would consider returning.

We have just returned from Venice having spent 3 nights at Ca Vendramin. We cannot praise the hotel and its staff highly enough. From check in to check out we were delighted with every aspect. Our room (203 - junior canal suite) was so elegantly decorated in Veneitian style and very comfortable.
During our stay our return flight was cancelled by Easyjet. Beatrice and Camilla were so helpful suggesting alternative travel arrangements. Camilla also managed to find us a room in a wonderful hotel (Hotel Annia) by the airport as we needed accomodation for an extra night.
The hotel is situated in a quieter part of Venice but the area is enchanting and only ten minutes stroll from the rialto bridge. We booked a shared water taxi with Viator (before we left England) to take us from the airport into central Venice . This was very efficient and dropped us at Ca D'Oro just a few minutes walk from the hotel. For the return journey we bought tickets from Alilaguna (Orange Line) which cost 15 euros per person . The boat stop was about 10minutes walk from the hotel but also very efficient.

All in all a lovely trip.

Attractive & very Venetian Hotel. Stayed 4 nights, very friendly helpful welcome by Camilla. Tilly on reception also very good on restaurants, water bus tickets, gondola areas. Although we could have stayed in a typical 'Ventian' room, they can be quite 'dark' so enjoyed the modern Junior Suite overlooking garden area, quiet too. **Took own travel kettle/coffee etc as no facilities in room. Bathroom modern & everywhere very clean. Location about 20 mins walk from St. Marks Square but easy to reach main sights with many pretty Squares & fascinating canals along the way if you keep off busy main street. Good restaurants nearby - Ostaria De Rioba, & for brilliant pizzas - Vesuvio. Loved travelling on the water buses - & visiting Murano & Burano Islands. 2 Water Bus stops nearby - the fish market is interesting! Would stay at this hotel again. The breakfast is plentiful, varied - bacon, eggs, croissant, rolls, cakes, yoghurts, fresh fruit, cheese & ham, all delicious.

Room Tip: Junior Suite was quiet, large, very modern, comfortable, the garden view was pleasant. Very nice bat...

Enjoyed a 4 night stay while visiting Venice. Really loved exploring the Cannaregio area by the hotel and also a convenient location to the rest of Venice. Very nice clean and quiet room in the new wing. The only disappointment is that the junior suites are the newer rooms and we were hoping for a classic Venetian style room (such as the larger suites). However it was very comfortable for a family of 3 with an extra twin bed. The entire new wing was without hot water our first morning but luckily this was fixed by the next day. Breakfast is a nice small but sufficient buffet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with restaurant and tourist tips which makes this hotel a great place to stay.
