“nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

We spent one night in this nice hotel run by very friendly people in a beautiful city. The breakfast was good and we could check in early. The room can be a bit hot at night. Opening the windows at night attracts maggots and some noice. But overall we were satisfied.

Modest standards, yet very clean... Perfect location, in the middle of the city center, yet very quite... Most important of all, perfect hospitality! Lovely family, always smiling... a good choice for a 2 star.

My sister and I spent three nights at this hotel a couple of weeks ago and would like to highly recommend this hotel to others. From the moment we checked in, Alberto (and the rest of his family/staff!!) were particularly warm and helpful. Alberto went out of his way to give us great recommendations regarding buying vaporetto (ferry) tickets, well priced restaurants, the best places to purchase glass on the island of Murano etc. The hotel has a very warm, family atmosphere and we felt immediately 'at home'! Our room was particularly clean and comfortable (we were also very glad to see the air conditioning unit for the hot weather), a small balcony, good wifi ( free of charge), a well equipped bathroom etc. While we were on the third floor, Alberto kindly helped us take our suitcases up and down when we checked into ( and checked out of) the hotel. The location is amazing- it is in a very quiet lane just a few seconds away from the shops, ferries and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again and would like to recommend this wonderful hotel to others who are looking for a fantastic hotel which also happens to be 'good value' and in a central location.

This is a great quality hotel for this price. We found it comfortable and very clean, and the staff were extremely friendly. If you cannot handle the stairs as there is no elevator, just ask for a lower floor. We would recommend this place.

Amazing little hotel in Venice, located 5 minutes walking distance from the train station and just off a "main" street filled with restaurants and shops. The rooms are small but cozy, with a fully equipped bathroom (shower, bidet, hairdryer). There is no air conditioning, however with a table fan and open windows, we had a cooling breeze throughout the room. We had the unfortunate event of having a passport stolen whilst touring in Florence, and upon check in the staff were very helpful in helping us call the police station several times to see if there was any news. Upon check out my sister and I were both given hand made gifts from the hotel. This was a wonderful, thoughtful touch to an already great experience! I would definitely stay here again.

We checked into the hotel for a 6 night stay during June 2013 (I am writing this review as I couldn't wait until we checked out, so we are currently here).

Our stay has been absolutely wonderful, I honestly can not fault a thing. Some of the things that really stand out for me:

- upon making our reservation, personally e-mailed by the hotel owner Alberto.
- each time I sent an e-mail, both occasions I was replied to promptly.
- property is a true credit to the family that own the hotel. It has been in the same family since the day it opened.
- provided with maps prior to our arrival to find the hotel.
- check in quick and polite. They do not demand payment in advance or charge silly holding despots.
- hotel is clean, actually spotless!
- room is great, well equipped. French doors off the bedroom and bathroom. Air-con, tv, comfortable bed. (Request extra pillows if need be, they were to happy to help).
- wifi though out the whole hotel, and it actually works! It is included in the nightly rate.
- great breakfast included to start your morning.
- upon going for a walk just after we checked out, Alberto stopped up as he wanted to show us some of his own personal suggestions worth visiting while in Venice. We have already tried two and they were fantastic!
- nice common areas and resident dog!
- outlined ferry and bus tickets, how to buy them, where from etc.
- everyone is so polite and happy to help.
- fantastic location if arriving by bus or rail... Physically moments from both terminals unlike some hotels further inland that require loads of walking with luggage.

We were actually suggested this hotel by friends who have stayed prior. I can not wait to share this wonderful hotel with family and friends should they visit Venice in the future. You will not be disappointed! Keep up the great work Alberto and your team!

Room Tip: Request a remote for the air-conditioning unit from reception, I spent 30 minutes looking for it bef...

The hotel is small but very clean and comfortable. All staffs there are friendly and helpful. The location is good, and is easy to find. The only unconvenience is no elevator there. The price was a little higher for us.
