“friendly small family run hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012

Just a short walk from the train station in a quiet laneway, this small friendly hotel is a great spot.
Helpful happy staff, room small but clean.

My single room and bathroom were incredibly small but very clean. A large person would have difficulty fitting into the shower. Bed was adequate. No A/C but it wasn't needed. Fresh air .. from the open windows was nice. No view. There were mosquitos.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine - you can ask for cappucino. Free wifi was appreciated.

A little hard to find but a great location near the rail and bus stations.

The Hotel Caprera owned and operated by Massimo, Cristina and Alberto is warm and cozy.
The family is there to help with every request. They are proud of their standing with Tripadvisor and are respectful, cheery and patient. They loved hosting our 12 very active students from Seoul, Korea. I highly recommend this hotel for those who are able-bodied and can walk upstairs. There are several rooms with A/C and some without. The fresh crescents and cereal /yogurts for breakfast were tasty.

Room Tip: Ask for A/C

I loved my stay at the hotel.
The owner is a real gentleman, besides he is a real artist!!
He produces Fantasic art pieces in wood!!
You have to see with your eyes!
Please ask him to give you the information about his artistic wooden sculptures, he will love to show you & explain in detail!!
Surely will visit again!!

This was my second visit. Very close to bus/train/vaparatto. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable and quiet. No screens on the windows though, so the mosquitoes fly in. I have recommended this hotel to friends.

Room Tip: No elevator, so if stairs are a problem, ask for a room on the first floor.

Good location, 5 mins away from Venezia Station. Hotel was located at a very narrow ally and is undergoing some construction. There is no elevator in this hotel. We have to lug our luggages up 3 stories. Room is very small. Owner is not very welcoming. We will love to try out other hotels in Venice next time.

Stayed here in April 2012, and found the staff very helpful and friendly and the hotel to be clean with a large room and basic but good breakfast. The hotel is located within a few minutes walk to the bus / train station, which saves on humping the suitcases over all the stepped bridges. Perfect for a short stay.
