This small hotel has a great atmosphere and is located a bit off the tourist track. It is handy to the main railway station (an easy flat walk as the only bridge has no steps) and right on a canal with water bus service. It is a fairly long walk to some of the main attractions but Venice is fascinating to walk through anyway. The hotel is right on the edge of the Jewish quarter and it is nice to be in a largely residential area rather than just a tourist area. There are some very good Jewish restaurants nearby, especially Gam Gam which is in the same "street". The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the room comfortable with a good size bathroom. Breakfast was good (continental style) and they made us great coffee. The only issue is the noise from the adjoining room as we could hear their (rather loud) talking.
