We thought this restaurant was far enough off the beaten path to have a good meal. The restaurant does advertise (in very small print on their front door) that their food is 'surgelato'. We didn't notice this term on the menu, but it may have been present. So, we watched our meal preparation in which the server tore back a cardboard top on a plastic container, added water, microwaved the entree for a few minutes, let it sit a few more, dumped it on our plate and garnished w/ fresh cheese, all the while hiding his prep 'technique' behind the meat slicer as best he could.
We were disappointed, to say the least, but on the bright side, after we complained about the quality, we left our uneaten entrees paying only for our drinks. Buyer beware....this term, "surgelato" is found throughout Venice so please pay attention.
The wine & water were good. :-)
