We visited on advice from the venice forum, the food was ok ( mains were only average, but the tiramisu was the best I have ever had, so let us give the credit where credit is due). However the meal was spoilt by the totally unacceptable service. The waiter never looked us in the eye once, only spoke twice and that was one word at a time (quite a feat during a whole meal). He then proceeded to throw the cutlery etc. on the table in one pile which we then sorted out and then ignore us for what seemed an age, then when we asked for the wine he came back with the bottle and slamed that down along with two glasses which were really dirty. We went inside and asked another member of staff to change them, as the waiter was just ignoring us.. He was rushed off his feet at the time while the person who was clearly was the owner just stood around chatting to a table of locals and ignored everyone else. We are not a fussy pair and are well aware that are some times not up to scratch for a variety of reasons, this however was the worst service we have ever had anywhere. Looking back I really don't know why we didn't just walk away!!!
