“Lovely, thoughtful, attentive service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

Thank you, Alfredo and Glosia.

I contacted Vineria all'Amarone by email before arriving in Venice to enquire if I could make a Reservation for a small, personal birthday celebration. I had no ideas myself but Johann replied quickly by email and said they would do their best to make our celebration a success.

On our arrival we were made very welcome indeed with Alfredo, Glosia and Johann personally introducing themselves. Although this is a winery and bistro they had especially prepared a lovely meal for us which was fabulous in quality and presentation.

We had lovely evening that will certainly be remembered to a long time.

Do take the time to visit this bistro it is certainly something a little bit special.

“Fast food (Italian style)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

I dropped by during a short visit in Venice, after reading several good reviews on TripAdvisor. I got a selection of ten "cicchetti", i.e. slices of bread, slightly toasted, with a wide range of toppings (ranging from "baccalà mantecato", a delicious cream prepared with fish and oil to salami, from cheese with chili to a tuna paté), along with a refreshing drink whose name I actually can't recall (unfortunately, I must say: it would be nice to buy a bottle to enjoy at home!).
Everything was pleasant, tasty and light; the waiter proved responsive and friendly and didn't try to push on any "today's special food", which is a good hint of a not-too-tourist-oriented place.
To sum up, a fairly satisfactory solution if you're looking for a fast food, in a far less chaotic atmosphere (jazz music, at a favourable volume level) and avoiding junk food.

“Great place for wine in Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

This is a must for every person who travels to Venice and loves wine. all'Amarone has some great wines both by glass or bottle. The staff is amazing! Everyone is always with a smile on their faces and looking to provide you a great experience. The food is also very good but here's some of the finest wines I've ever tasted. If you go to Venice definitely step in, you won't regret it.

“Fantastic spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

This is a great place to have a few glasses (or more!). About a 2 minute walk from the San Silvestro water bus stop (one towards San Marco from Rialto on the 1) Alfredo the owner (who is real top host) on me ordering a Pinot Grigio instructed me to try something a bit more special and I was not disappointed. The bar also offers a great selection of snacks and light dishes to enjoy your wine with, and though the wine was of great quality it is very reasonably priced considering you'd be paying around double down at Rialto for far lesser quality.

A truly awesome find, I'd highly recommend people stopping by to escape the tourist traps along Rialto and experience a very warm welcome along with a fantastic glass of Iocal wine.
