“nice authentic restautant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014 via mobile

Great food, my girlfriend had the meat menu, I had the fish menu. We also had aubergines as a starter.

Also visited by locals and no 'menu turistico', which is always a good sign.

Good price/quality, although I think the a la carte food is better than the menu

Well worth a recommendation

“A rare find in Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

It was amazing to find this lovely unspoiled Restaurant in Venice. The food is excellent and not at all expensive a rare find in Venice. I had the deep fried fish lunch which was served with sliced deep fried vegetables excellent, washed it down with a glass of Roscatto very reasonable price.

“Unexpected gem ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014

We stumbled across this delightful place looking for a late lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. Friendly welcome and delicious food. Good pinot grigio house wine too. Reasonably priced. Recommended.

“If you came here for the food...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

When we travel, we like to take in the sights, take some photos and do our best not to look like tourists.

Most often, we choose our vacation destinations based on the food that we'll find there. If you're like us, then you're going to want to try this place, recommended to us through our B&B hostess, a true gem of a family owned bistro that is a three minute walk from the Rialto bridge, in the heart of Venice.

As the lady who recommended the place said to us "they're young, they're friendly, and the food is simply fantastico!" I might have ad-libbed a bit there, but I'm sure Francesca will forgive me. The young chef has recently graduated from a prestigious school somewhere in Venice and is looking to prove his skill. We were not disappointed. We booked for dinner, and it was totally worth it. The value for price is excellent, the staff are down to earth, accommodating and the place was charming and intimate.

When you get your map of Venice, look for this bridge (Ponte Storto) and put a big star next to it.

An excellent destination for families and couples looking to steer clear of tourist traps and eat like a true local.

“A very enjoyable evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

The restaurant is located by a lovely bridge (Il Ponte Storto) in San Polo, away from the beaten track. There is a small terrace where we had Spritz before going to dinner. Great atmosphere, friendly management and staff, excellent service and food, and very reasonable bill. Clients were mostly Italians. Higly recommended, but it is advisable to book as the place is rather small.
