We had our stay in this hotel and made a reservation for a junior suite. The ambience in the hotel was great. From the entrance up to the reception, friendlyness of the staff and the room was unbelievable. No words or comments on the entire location. The Hotel is brand new and was opened just 2 months ago and they are still opening new rooms. It is in the middle of Venice not to far from Rialto boat stop and approx. 10 minitues walk to the St. Marco square. There is a gondola stop just accros the hotel if you would like to make a nice gondola trip. Furthermore there is a spa which we had seem but did not have the time to make use of. This hotel looks at the details of service. The languages spoken are: English; Italian; Frence; Spanish and German. All major credit cards are accepted.

I ordere a bottle of red wine and asked them for a recommedation on a wine from the region. The proposed a wine from verona which was a very good italian wine. It competes in the segments of the best of italian wines. All rooms have an eletronic key lock which works just great. They also have an restaurant for fine dining.

The following people were of great help when we had to find another location to stay: Lucca and Giani.

I can't say enough about the excellent service and attention to detail. The room was outstanding and the service was even better. The location was excellent and is very close to Rialto bridge. We had a canal view and the room did not dissappoint

We stayed at the Ai Reali late February 2013. The Hotel's location was excellent, only a few minutes walk from the rialto bridge (which is useful for the water bus to the airport) and only 5 minutes walk from san marco square. It's extremely near the city's shops and restaurants but is in a quiet alcove which means you aren't disturbed in your room by the sound of tourists.

The hotel itself was also fantastic. The decor was of a high quality and a traditional venetian style and our room was amazing. It was large, with high ceilings, a huge chandelier as well as a great TV and massive bed.

The wellness facilities were great with a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, although you do have to pay extra to use this. The breakfast had a great selection of food, ranging from pastries to cooked breakfast, and one night we ate in the hotel restaurant and this turned out to be the best meal we had in the 3 nights we were in venice both in terms of quality and value.

The hotel also arranged a boat to take us to the island of murano for free and this included a tour of a glass factory where we were able to watch a local artist crafting and blowing glassware.

This hotel was genuinely great and I highly recommend it!

Myself and wife (mid and early 30's) stayed in the Ai Reali for 2 nights late February 2013. Our aim was to use the hotel as a base to explore Venice by day and enjoy the food in the evenings.

After arriving at the airport we got a water taxi (return 27e each) and were dropped off by the rialta bridge. We struggled to find the hotel for about 30 minutes due our poor map reading skills and the twists and turns of the Venice streets. Eventually we found it and it was apparent that from the Rialta bridge you are very near the hotel (3 min walk). I'm sure you will find it easier than us.

On arrival , the staff were friendly and after carrying our bags to our room explained various options in the room IE the safe , the TV , air con etc.

Our room was fantastic, very Venetian with a modern twist. Very clean and bright. The bathroom was spacious bright and a lovely shower that had a very big shower head and a detachable smaller shower . . perfect.

WIFI strength was strong and the TV also had an internet facility. Only English channel was CNN but who needs TV when away.
Fridge in cupboard with a choice of drinks if required.

The bed was very comfortable and we both had good nights sleep , we experienced no outside noise at any point.

The Air con was efficient.

Breakfast was a buffet and we had the choice of English fried , fruit , cereal , rolls and meat/cheese
Toast and Tea was cooked promptly when we asked the staff that manned the breakfast room.. The room over looks the canal and with all the cutlery / tea pots etc being silver it was a lovely start to the day.

The hotel has a spa which whilst we looked at and were planning to indulge we never got round to it.

Location wise this hotel is perfect. 5 min walk to the main square , even less to rialto. Shops and restaurants on the doorstep. All very central !

Regarding Venice, I'm sure you've researched yourself but in addition to the standard haunts we took a boat trip to the Lido to see the beach and have some lunch. It was a nice change and good to mix it up , would recommend. Other than that prepare to walk and walk and walk , getting lost is all part of the fun in my opinion.
Be aware of cover charges and service charges at restaurants. Off the main squares seemed better value.
There is a restaurant just over the small canal from the hotel called Marios , I believe trip adviser is 4.5 for this place and we had a brilliant meal there. Several courses and a great dining experience. Not cheap but a good treat.

I'd recommend using the hotel WiFi to research restaurants as we took a chance on a couple of places for lunch and the food just wasn't that good (lasagne as well !!) , 10 mins of research from the room and you are good to go.

Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would be happy to stay here again.
