“Wonderful hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

We stayed at the hotel Moresco for 3 nights and cannot rate it highly enough. The hotel is beautiful and very cosy, the rooms are spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The staff could not do enough to help us and make our stay comfortable. The location was great, away from hussle and bustle and very close to the main bus terminal and water bus which made getting to the airport easy and around venice very easy.

I’m an experienced traveller and I have to admit that this hotel is a very good value for money. My wife and I spent 2 days in this hotel and we were very pleased with the quality of the room (freshly renovated) and the level of service. Probably the only negative is the size of the breakfast room (a bit small) but overall this is not a big deal (at least for me)
We had a Superior room with a nice/small balcony and I pre-paid the room in advance so that this reduced the overall price.

Room Tip: We had a Superior room with Balcony - very silent and well decorated

My partner and I spent three nights at Hotel Moresco during a 12 day trip through Italy and HM was, without a doubt, the highlight of our trip. Having stayed in quite a few hotels in our day we both commented that HM is, quite possibly, the nicest ever from top to bottom. Set away from the hustle and bustle of tourist-y Venice, HM is within easy walking distance of the train terminal (5-10 minutes) and within equally easy walking distance to all the sight-seeing musts. The property is quiet (only 20-something rooms) inviting, tastefully decorated and appointed and employs a top-notch staff. The front desk staff, Fabio and Barbara in particular, went out of their way to help us with restaurant recommendations and reservations, tour reservations, taxis and area information. The bar is a lovely little hangout and HM provides a nice breakfast with eggs and bacon, made to order, on request. We stayed in the junior suite and it was heaven. Spacious, beautifully decorated, quiet - king bed, lots of closet space, TV with SKY, and a massive bathroom with a great shower and a separate jetted soaking tub. Housekeeping was stellar (though we never saw a maid once). When we are in Venice next we will, for certain, be staying at Hotel Moresco.

Room Tip: If you're looking to splurge, the Junior Suite is a worthwhile choice.

Just returned from our trip to Venice and a stay at the Moresco. It is a beautiful brand new hotel with wonderful amenities. The room and bathroom is perfect . The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The location is great and there are good local restaurants nearby.

Loved our stay at the Hotel Moresco.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 204. Very lovely and quiet.

I normally don't bother with writing reviews for Hotels I stay in but after our weekend away to Venice for my brithday, staying at this truly amazing Hotel I've decided to break with tradition. We stayed in a superior double room which overlooked the canal and it couldn't have been more beautiful.

The bed was amazing...I spent most our weekend relaxing in it...and the free bottle of Prosecco on arrival was perfect. One thing I would say for English speaking travellers is that the Satellite channels are very basic and limited but to be honest 'you're in Venice' and there is plenty to do and the Hotel is well situated to see all the main sights whilst still being secluded.

The Hotel organised a free taxi ride to Murano to see the glass blowing which was brilliant and breakfast is fresh and lovely and quite possibly holds the title for the 'best Americano' in Italy. Happy Hour is brilliant and very affordable plus they provide a free buffet. T

he Hotel itself is beautifully decorated with a good mix of old and new and is very clean and tidy. The courtyard is lovely for chilling with a glass of red during the day or evening - weather permitting.

All the staff are friendly and so lovely it made our stay even more perfect.

All I can say is that there really needs to be more Hotel Moresco's in the world because they are rare offering a personal boutique service to all.

I can't give enough praise to the Hotel Moresco. We stayed March 19 - 22. It's been a long time since I've stayed at a property - in the US or abroad - that paid such incredible attention to it's guests. You can be staying in the most beautiful place, but it won't make up for a team that doesn't care. Hotel Moresco doesn't have that problem.

Our room was on the top floor, with a charming garret ceiling, top notch bathroom with every amenity, small library of books to read and beautiful finishes. The breakfast included an option of bacon and eggs in addition to a full spread of pastries, cheeses and salumi. I need to include a special mention of our waiter who even (apply bold font here) came out to say goodbye to us as boarded our water taxi the morning we left.

The lounge is a great place to unwind after a long day. Each night, they lay out a selection of hors d'oeurves and wines, alongside a full bar for cocktails. Orange lovers - ask for a spritz with Aperol. Again, the staff was amazing, making recommendations and providing attentive service.

Last - but not least - I have to thank the front desk team. They did an incredible job with restaurant suggestions, directions around town, laundry service and water taxi requests.

Needless to say we'll be staying here on our next trip to Venice.

The hotel Moresco was the hotel highlight of our week long trip to Germany/Italy for me and my 15 year old daughter. The reception team at Moresco was excellent (especially Fabio!), and gave wonderful restuarant recommendations (ae Cravate being the best for new arrivers as it is so close, and Bitta for the atmosphere). The "happy hour" reception was one of the best parts of our trip to Venice, and the breakfast was made to order, and included. Plus, the hotel is so very close to the bus or train, though you will want to map it out first to make sure you don't make a wrong turn. (walk all the way to the right, across the long modern bridge, keep going, take the wooden bridge and then stay to the right!). The beds were able to be split so may daughter and I each had our own space, which was really nice for us. Seriously, I cannot recomment this hotel enough. It is a little far from the main areas, but if you like quiet like we do, then you will consider the relative distance a plus.
