“Every detail of this hotel is Perfect and Fabulous !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

This hotel is fabulous in every aspect and detail even for those people with great expectations.

Let my explain you why:

Location:
- 2 minutes walking to Piazzale Roma (the entrance of Venice).
- 3 minutes walking to the first Vaporetto station: Ferrovia.
- 15 minutes walking (superb itinerary) to Rialto and San Marco downtown area.
- The position of this hotel on a quiet and beatiful canal creates it a unique charm.

Rooms:
- Very stilish, cosy and charming. Bathrooms large, comfortable and extremly clean.
- Sleep quality is perfect, the beds are gorgeous.

Stuff:
- Extremly nice and helpful in every aspect and detail.

I'm not a hotel enthuziastic, but this hotel really made our trip to Venice, due to it's unbelievable style and charm.

Stop searching and reading for other hotels, book this one and you won't regret.

Spent only one night in Venice at this hotel and liked it very much. It is located on a secondary canal close. From the train station, it can be reached by walking 5-10 minutes going over only one bridge, assuming you take the right route....which we did not do.
The size of our room was average by European standards although the bathroom was somewhat small. We had a nice view of the canal from our room. The hotel is small (23 rooms I think), is very well kept and have a nice garden area where one can have breakfast. We arrived early and while waiting for our room to be ready, we were served a glass of sparkling wine in a charming salon of the main hall. The staff was polite and helpful.

Arrived last evening and found the hotel Moresco lovely. Venetian decor with modern lighting, etc. Hotel was recently renovated, so everything is new and clean. Energy efficient LED lighting, motion sensors turn on hallway lighting to keep the hotel energy efficient and safe. Quiet part of the city and walking distance from St. Lucia train station. Tip: don't over pack for Venice, the steps and bridges are a killer when carrying heavy luggage. Breakfast was nice, cappuccino made to order and Delicious! We just ate from the banquet, but they will cook hot breakfast if you ask.
The advertised "free bottle of prosecco" does not apply unless you book from the hotel website and select the free prosecco option. The special offer flag on trip advisor doesn't specify this. This was just a minor disappointment. I'd much rather have a nice hotel than a free bottle of wine anyway. We'll be checking out tomorrow and update if necessary. At this point, definitely recommend.

This hotel opened in July 2012, and what a gem! Upon arrival we were impressed with the property and enjoyed the welcome drink, served courteously by the friendly staff. We absolutely loved it and would stay here again. Let's hope they keep up the high standards!

PROs: the location is perfect if you're entering Venice by car. It is just 5 minutes by foot from the parking garages. It is also a bit far away from the main attractions such as the Rialto bridge and the Piazza San Marco, which for us was a plus and not a minus. The room is stylishly decorated and spacious, a very comfortable bed! We loved the shower (with changing lights to boot) and the Fragonard toiletries. Everything is in place: flat screen TV, safe, mini bar, free WIFI. Excellent breakfast with the usuals and eggs to order.

CONs: none for us! If you prefer to be in the middle of the crowd, as mentioned, it's not close to the action. It is about 45 minutes by water bus or by foot to Piazza San Marco.

Located very near the bus station, the "bag drag" from the parking garage was bearable. Other hotels which are located deeper into the canal system would have been a real challenge unless one wants to part with 70 Euro to have them delivered via boat. Another plus is its proximity to the central station where the various canal ferries depart. The staff at the hotel were as fresh and inviting as the hotel itself. Newly renovated, it is updated with all the amenities that one could want for a reasonable price in the heart of Venice. Breakfast was very nice with eggs to order, excellent coffees and fruits.

Room Tip: All rooms are very quiet and the doors are nearly 4" thick which insulates one from any potenti...

The Moresco is a beautiful, brand new, state of the art hotel with the latest technology and amenities, but still retains the classic venetian style and artistry. The decor incorporates beautiful Murano mirrors and lighting. The staff is exceptional, warm, organized and accomodating. They treat visitors as valued guests in their home, going out of their way to provide any special accomodations or needs. This made for a very memorable stay.

The hotel was superior to some of the five star hotels we stayed at in other Italian cities. The lcoation, right near Piazza Roma, is easily accessible to the bus station, train station and the vaporetto.
