We stayed at Foscari Palace 27th June - 4th July 2006 for our honeymoon. We found Foscari spotlessly clean, staff polite, helpful, fully air conditoned - a welcome relief from the summer heat. Our room faced a building which was being renovated, the builders were present during the day, but as we were out sightseeing during the day it was not a problem to us at all. Breakfast was fantastic, a help yourself buffet consisting of fruit, croissants, sliced meats, cheeses, cereals, and/or cooked breakfast. Two or three evenings during our stay cocktails and entertainment were laid on. The hotel was situated very conviently near to the Rialto bridge, with a 10 min walk via major shopping area to San Marco or in the opposite direction to the train/ bus station. With a water bus stop on the grand canal just round the corner, and a gondola able to take you across the Grand Canal literally on the doorstep of the hotel we felt the location was perfect.
It was only rudness of three guests in pursuit of checking their emails on thier laptop during an hour of muscial entertainment one evening which annoyed us. Otherwise Foscari....we loved it.
