“Views are amazing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012 via mobile

We stayed on the second floor with amazing views of the grand canal. The room was huge and spacious. The beds were not that comfortable but ok a few more pillows would have been appreciated. I have scored this hotel four on the basis of the views but it would score lower for everything else. Many power points do not work, the spa was broken and the shower head was broken, some simple maintenance could easily lift our experience and subsequent rating. The Internet drops in and out all the time which is very frustrating. The breakfast selection was fantastic and tasty. The proximity to everything is great we walked to the Rialto bridge and St Mark's square. There is a gondola station outside the hotel and a public transport stop.

We took the water taxi option from the airport directt to the hotel which is a grand way to arrive and to see Venice from all angles. The hotel is impressive with friendly and helpful staff, great rooms and breakfasts. It is on the Grand Canal and has a rooftop deck to see the city and have a picnic if the weather is OK. It is also located just off a major walkway so it's easy to find and close to the Rialto

We took the Junior Suite on the first floor for a couple of days after a chilly stay elsewhere. It was splendid. You could not ask for a better vantage point to comfortably watch Venice perform before you. It seemed a shame to waste hours in the huge comfortable bed ! With aqua alta doing its best to flood everwhere, we were trapped in the hotel one morning looking out at locals in waders. The receptionist Divan, while working in a lake in rubber boots was coping magnificently and utterly professionally with obnoxious and unreasonable patrons who expected her to roll back the waters / find them rooms / shoes / boats etc etc . She deserves a medal for not telling them what they truly deserved to hear. Wonderful place and tremendous location. ( oh; and the breakfast is not to be underestimated either )

Room Tip: Get that front of house suite and just open up the windows to lean , glass in hand, and soak up the...

A great hotel in a perfect spot on the Grand Canal with a brilliant little roof terrace. Really nice big room and the breakfast was good if not excellent. The staff were really helpful and friendly even in the face of floods and all the related stress. Will definitely stay there next time.

The Foscari is perfectly situated on the Grand Canal opposite the fish market and next door to the ca'doro stop. The hotel itself is clean and elegant with very comfortable beds and beautiful linen. The bathroom was great although a bath plug was requested but never materialised! Breakfast was delicious and the waitress couldn't have been more helpful. The best part was sitting up on the rooftop balcony after a hard days sightseeing with a glass of prosecco watching the world go by.

Room Tip: Side rooms have a little balcony to sit out on.

We lucked out in finding this property in Venice with a location not far from St.Mark square and yet away from the hustle of the crowds. Spacious and clean room, luxurious hotel, with very good breakfast. Helpful staff with the various inquiries regarding what to visit. A water taxi took us from the airport to the hotel. Great service.

Have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Foscari Palace. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough if you are looking to be in a central location, 10 minute walk to Rialto Bridge, 10 minute walk to Fte Nove boat stop for the airport.

The hotel cannot be faulted. Staff friendly and smiley and happy to help. For example, I wasnt sure how to reset the room safe. The receptionist dropped everything to pop up and show me.

We had a suite - WOW factor. Stunning and exceeded all expectations! It was grand, with an adjoining lounge with massive windows looking over the Grand Canal. Worth the upgrade and good value as I shopped around for weeks looking for a similar room. Nothing beat this for value. Book direct with hotel and pay in advance to get the best rate. Oh and the bed was really comfy!

Breakfast has plenty of choice, re-stocked and I found to be tasty.

So all in all, I recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: Book a suite for canal views
