Wonderful small hotel by the Grand canale! Staff was very good and knew what they were doing! The rooms were Venetian style decorated and good size and very clean! The location is very good you can walk every where if you want! I would go there again!!!

Palazzo Sant’Angelo is a small friendly hotel where it’s difficult not to become friends with the staff. Although located in the crowded sestiere San Marco, it is well off the beaten path between the Piazza and the Rialto bridge and subsequently gets little foot traffic. But it’s just a short walk to the Piazza, Rialto, Accademia or jump on the vaporetto just off the front door and be in Dorsoduro and away from the crowds in one stop. There is a private boat dock for the taxi to take you to dinner or a short walk to Campo Sant’Angelo and Campo Santo Stefano with plenty of non-touristy places to eat. If you can, pay the extra for the canal balcony suite as it is well worth the money. The front desk took care of our many demands and requirements for the cost of a polite grazie. I can’t name a single reason why I wouldn’t stay here again. On a two-week, five-city holiday, Palazzo Sant’Angelo was the best hotel of several that we have highly rated.

Room Tip: Get the canal view suite if you can and sleep with the balcony door wide open.

We stayed one night in Venice after a cruise. We were certainly not disappointed with our choice. The rooms were nicely appointed and spacious. We stayed on the second floor and it was very quiet. Couldn't hear any noises from other rooms at all. The front desk staff was very helpful with making outgoing calls, and arranging transportation to the airport. While the cost is on the higher side, it seemed that all of Venice was the same way. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

Situated on the grand canal away from the swarming crowds, the Plazzo Sant' Angelo is a quiet oasis. We requested a very quiet room, view not important, and we were not disappointed in the least bit. Manuela and Lamberto at the front desk were able to get us all of the dining reservations we wanted both in Venice and Burano, as well as very special treatment at most of these places. The accommodations are exactly as depicted online and there were no surprises - the hotel is small so be prepared for a relatively small room where breakfast is served. Our stay was all the more enhanced by the presence of Houria who greeted us so cheerfully for breakfast each morning - and with hugs and kisses on our last day! When returning to Venice, Palazzo Sant' Angelo will be our temporary home once again.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room that does not face the grand canal and you should sleep soundly, even for those...

We spent one night there in room 209 on the second floor . Quite specious room with big bathroom. There is no soundproofed windows, unfortunatelly. Our room was't very quiet , was a little dark without any view. Probably rooms overlooking Canal Grande are the noisiest. The bufet breakfast is rather poor and served in a very small and stuffy room. the hotel is located just next to water tram stop and 10 min walk to St.Mark's Square. Nice and helpful Staff.

Room Tip: Do not forget to take an earplugs !

Excellent service. Comfortable beds, close to a ferry stop and the breakfast is delicious! Couldn't have asked for anything more except free Wi-Fi. We enjoyed being in a busy part of Venice. You can walk lots of places or hop on the ferry. Don't forget to go to Murano island to see the glass makers.

Room Tip: If you can afford the suite, get it. Very comfortable room.

Excellent location, right next to San Angelo ferry stop. Got upgraded to junior suite so the room was spacious! Nice room and very new toilet facilities. Nice Jacuzzi in room too unfortunately it's just good for one person. Only drawback is they charge €3 per hour for WiFi.... for this room rate it's really unnecessary! Also there's some stinky smell from the toilet area so you have to keep your toilet lid close all the time... But the hotel is still great overall and we would recommend to friends.
