“You MUST see the view from the Campanile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

The church itself is lovely, although part of it was closed off during our visit. The floors are well worth looking at. Head through the church to the left hand corner where you will find the entrance to the Campanile (bell tower). A lift (only takes 6 people at a time) whisks you to the top where you have the most amazing view. You can see across to St. Marks Square and the waterfront there as well as the lagoon and the myriad of small islands. Looking closer you can see the beautiful knot garden in the church grounds. For the small fee charged I think this is one of the best views in the whole of Venice. Get there on the Vaporetto then enjoy.

“No crowds and amazing views and free exhibition”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

A great getaway from the heaving crowds of San Marco.

The island is a short hop on the river bus from San Marco and is a nice getaway from all the hussle and bussle of the main attractions. We ended up here after seeing the queues to the doges palace. Nice to get a bit of peace and quiet over here and enjoy the views from the bell tower. As with everything in Venice you have to pay, this is 6E per person but it is arguably the best view point in Venice.

The biggest bonus was free entrance to a superb Mark Quinn art exhibition a short walk from the church. There is also a small café where you can grab a coffee and an ice cream.

Worth a visit.

“Enjoyed the Art Show”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

You get a wonderful view of Venice across the way. There was an art exhibit about glass when we were there and it was well done. The church is the main attraction it is well worth the trip - also gets you away from the crowds.

“Windy but what a view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

It take just a few minutes to go up 8-10 stories in the air and get what is maybe the best view of Venice. While it can be very very windy (if it is cold it is uncomfortable) the view makes up for the discomfort. On a clear day the views are fantastic.

“Great Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

It's not very interesting other than the bell tower, but it makes a great escape from Piazza San Marco's noisy crowds. If you have an unlimited pass and have some time, there's really no reason not to make a quick jaunt over by No. 2 boat for sweeping views of Venice.
