“Great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2014

My friend and I stayed here in Oct 2014 and loved it!! The staff was so friendly and helpful! Morris who works at night send us to a great restaurant and we were well taken care of because of him! The rooms are cozy and very clean and the breakfast was delicious! The hotel is a 3 min walk from the train station so very convenient location! There's free wifi and it worked great! We loved it and we stay again!

Stayed for 3 nights. Biggest positive for this hotel is it's location. No bridges or stairs. If you arrive with bags you will understand why this is good. Reception staff are great. Friendly and helpful every time. Room was ok. Had everything I needed, comfortable bed, clean and everything worked. Shower is the smallest I have ever been in. Breakfast was adequate. Would recommend hotel. If you don't choose this hotel, get one near it. Location is unbeatable.

Located only a few minutes' walk from the main train and bus stations. Hotel is clean and quiet. Wifi (no extra charge) available throughout incl. guest rooms. Watch out breakfast area is small, thus doesn't take much to get full. However, if full, hotel staff will ring your room when there's a table available. If you can't wait, go early when breakfast starts at 8.

Overall the hotel was okay. The staff was friendly and the location was great. About 5 min from the train station and about 10 minute walk to the bus station, there are no side alleys or bridges that you need to cross. The rooms themselves are pretty dark and dreary compared with the professional photos. The comforter on the beds look like they may be as old as the hotel and the beds and pillows are very firm. There is only a small table in the room and the bathroom has only a small shelf so unless you travel very light, don't expect to have a place to put your things or unpack anything. Luckily, we both had carry-on bags so this wasn't a huge issue. There is no elevator so you have to walk up a few stairs as well to get to the front desk and then the room. The staff was nice though. We were late to breakfast one day so they kept one table cloth and food out just for us. The breakfast is okay. Just french donuts with filling, coffee, juice and cereal- typical European breakfast. Note that there was a €12 city charge that was required to pay in cash when we checked out. So keep some cash on you, even for the last day. The bus to the airport was very simple, I think it was bus 5 (a1). Took about 25 minutes and cost €6 each ticket. One good restaurant off the tourist path was la colonna. It was very good food and the service was impeccable. If you aren't familiar with this city, they charge a coperto for each person so check the menu before sitting down. This charge ranges from €1-3 per person including children and is added to the bill. So if you are traveling with a large family, can be very costly, just for sitting down and getting bread.Overall, the hotel was okay with a nice staff. For the price it was a disappointment but I think most hotels are older and expensive. Only way to avoid this type of hotel would probably require $220+ each night. I would recommend but would likely look elsewhere if I went back to visit.

Stayed one night in August 2014;Great location close to the train station which was why we elected to book this hotel, We booked and paid for a triple room. The third bed was a cot shoved up against a visibly dirty wall. The shower area was filled with mold, so much so that we elected not to have a shower. We were late arrivals and did not look in the bathroom before we went out to explore the area. Had we noticed, we would have refused to stay in the room. The included breakfast had by far the least offerings of any of our other hotel stays in Europe.

Good Points :
-Lovely Staff , they let us early check in.
-Very clean and comfort.
-Small ,Simple but cozy.
-Best location ever, just a few step from venezia station.
-Simple breakfast but good.
-Nice view from our room: a very touristic street with beautiful shops.

Bad Points :
-Close to reception area and breakfast area so very noisy.
-No minibar
-No safe box
-Bathroom very small.

Room Tip: I forgot the room number, but the closest room to breakfast area had a nice view to the street.

This hotel is very small, but nice and one of the cheaper ones. Some staff are really nice, but others were not very helpful. My mom and I stayed here in May 2014 and as soon as we arrived, we had to lug two very large and heavy suitcases up a long flight of stairs. No one offered to help us. We we reached the desk, we were checked in quickly and were given our keys. The room was nice, but basic. The bathroom was a good size. We were only there for one night and had to leave early the next morning (before breakfast time), but at our request, the man at the front desk, got our breakfast ready early, which we were very thankful for.

One thing I loved about this hotel was its location - it was less than 10 min walking distance from the train station and airport buses. The hotel staff were also nice enough to recommend taking the land bus (5 euro) as opposed to the water bus (cheap, but takes very long) or water taxi (150 euro!). I would recommend staying here if you're looking for a budget hotel.
