“Excellent pasta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

Small place, great food, polite service. The pasta was amazing. It was recommended by the hotel. It's not far from the station. They have good variety of food list.

“A Find on the Tolentini Canal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

The west end of Santa Croce isn't really known for dining but Ca' Leon is a real find. Excellent regional cooking in a quiet canal side location. Very good wine list. Good service. Killer desserts. Good value (around 90 euros for two with a good bottle of wine). Decor is nothing special; we liked outdoor dining area best. Across canal from the Hotel Papadopoli.

“Last Dinner in Venice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

It was late and we decided to have dinner near the B&B, so we went to this restaurant just in the other side of the canal.
Service was good, food too. The waiter suggested us a great wine and we really end our romantic trip in Venice, very happy. I recommend this restaurant, by the location, the price and the service.

“Liked it so much we ate here a 2nd time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Two couples recently spent 4 days in Venice. This restaurant was around the corner from our hotel and they recommended it. We had an excellent meal. We ate inside. The restaurant is small but nicely decorated. There is also outdoor seating by a canal. Staff is helpful and courteous. We had such a lovely meal at Ca' Leon that we ate there the last night of our visit and were again pleased with different dishes and wine.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

We arrived at our hotel a little late, around 930 pm, and we asked the hotel receptionist to recommend a good place to eat, and they recommended Ca Leon . It was right around the corner from our hotel. The location is very romantic, we sat outside right along the canal. The service was prompt and courteous and I was surprised at how well they spoke English. For apps we ordered the stewed eggplant. It was delish. For my main, I ordered the seafood spaghetti (which was made with homemade tagatelli) with a garlic sauce and it was heaven. It was by far the best meal we had in Venice. The wine the waiter suggested was also superb. My advice is avoid the places along the main strips and venture off to the side roads and canals, the restaurants tend to be better at them. Ca Leon is a little off the main walkways, but wow, the value, and quality are outstanding and I highly recommend it if you ever find yourself in Venice.
