“Little Gem in a Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014 via mobile

My teenage daughter and I recently stayed at this hotel and were very satisfied. The location is ideal. Antonella and her staff were very welcoming and ensured our comfort. Having been in Europe on multiple occasions we know to expect small rooms. Ours was on the top floor, had a charming view of tiled rooftops. It was very clean and comfortable. We liked bring able to see the main sites in the area and not be too far from the hotel- we were able to easily return when needing a rest and could just go back out again without much fuss.

We had a very nice room with three comfortable beds for the four of us and a shower in the room. There was also a safe box we made use of. The staff were very accommodating and helped us plan out our time and accommodated our bags for the final day. The best part was the location! yes they are literally 10 meters of St. Mark's square but also just an 8 minute walk from Rialto bridge. The staff also pointed us to some more out of the way restaurants where we got great food at a great price. If we ever get to return to Venice we will stay at the Hotel Ai Do Mori again.

Room Tip: Book well in advance and simply explain what you want in a room and they will set you up.

I am SO glad I found Hotel Ai Do Mori. We rented a 2-room suite with private bath for our family of 4 and could not have been more pleased. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, decorated nicely and had reasonably comfortable beds, with some separation between parents and teenagers (separate bedrooms), which was appreciated. The private bath was large and seems to have been remodeled recently. The air conditioning was a blessing during a minor heat wave, and the location was amazing. The stairs are a bit steep, but not really a problem as long as you are expecting it. The owners were really helpful; she took me downstairs to show me which restaurants were good and which ones to avoid, where the bank was etc. and he answered several other questions for us and let us print some tickets in the office. Long before we arrived, they were always prompt in replying to my emails regarding booking. I wish we could have stayed longer!!!

Room Tip: This 2-room family suite is ideal if travelling with kids--room doors and hallway doors lock.

This is my third stay here in 25 years. Things have changed. We had a large corner room for 3 though we were only 2. The windows were lovely and the bathroom was great. Everything was in perfect working order. We can see the bell tower and walk there in two minutes.
This is a third story walk up room with no common areas and no breakfast. Air conditioning works great. The price is reasonable considering the LOCATION!!!!
My only drawback was that the carpeting was very old.

We left booking our accommodation in Venice a little too late, and we were worried that we would have to spend more than our budget for our two night stay. However we can across this in the lonely planet and luckily they had one room left. We couldn't have asked for a better location, just a few minutes walk from the water taxi stop and so easy to find. The room was small but very pleasant, with wooden beams on the ceiling. We shared a bathroom but we never saw anybody else using it and we knew that the hotel was booked up. The lady on the desk was very friendly, giving us lots of tips and advice on where to go. We asked for a restaurant recommendation (it was difficult to find authentic Italian restaurants in Venice) and the place we went was beautiful.

My son and I stayed for two nights last week in the "Annex." The room was clean, comfortable, albeit small. But that's the case with hotels in old European cities. If the hotel has common areas, we didn't see them. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The hotel and Annex are in fact a minute or so walk from St. Mark's Square, yet the room we had was quiet. The price was fair.
