Very tidy and clean rooms, breaky didn't have any hot food, which was a little disappointing. Staff always avialable to help and happy to do so. Good deal for a water taxi to murano island. Overal quaint and good location.

We went to Venice in April 2013
From the airport we got the Water Bus to St Marks square and found that the Do Pozzi Hotel was only a 5min walk from the Water Bus stop. water bus stop at Gigilo only 2 minutes walk.
The hotel Clean small rooms and bathroom there was no tea making in the room, but we took our own kettle. Breakfast was ok and you could have it in the courtyard.
We do not speak italian, but the hotel speak english and made us feel very welcome!
And we are thinking of booking to go there next year.

We stayed one night with my wife in Venice, and booked this hotel from Internet based on location, price and few reviews. 3 star, it provides all you may expect from an Italian hotel with decent rooming in a very compact m2, for those who expect what to find in Italian hotel rooms in renovated old buildings.

Location is perfect, room was newly renovated, bathroom was small but in very good condition, definitely clean and tidy. Did not try the breakfast but was looking nice and causy. Located in a courtyard, entered next to Burberry, is meters to San Marco and canals. Bit noisy during day time since next street has come pedestrian traffic constantly flowing. Other than that, worth the money and choice. Great staff by the way, very hospitable and helped us good time. All recommendations we were happy.

Room Tip: Short trips to Venice who prefer to spend time in the city and uses hotel for bed and breakfast. Ver...

So incredibly close to St Marks Square, a lovely hotel. Clean small rooms and bathroom. Nice staff. VERY noisy outside as we were in an outer corner room where louder than loud passers-by came and went throughout the night. Deafening, even with windows and shutters closed. If you like to sleep, ask for a quieter room. No drinks facilities after breakfast which we really didn't like as we were paranoid about getting ripped off at a café. Breakfast basic so all in all, B&B standard in a fab location.

Just wanted to start by saying Thank You to all the staff at the Hotel Do Pozzi!

The hotel is in an amazing location for exploring the city! With a water bus stop at Gigilo only 2 minutes walk! The hotel was easy to find when we arrived.

The rooms are on the small side but you are in Venice and it felt like I was in Venice which was lovely! We took our own kettle for the room! good tip!

The staff in the hotel are amazing! including the cleaners as the rooms are spotless! We had a single and a twin room which the hotel put us next to each other.

I speak nil italian, but the hotel speak english and made us feel very welcome! They remember out rooms when we collected the keys!

While in Venice we experience the flooding which was amazing to see! The hotel cleaned up so quick you wouldnt know if happened.

The only thing I could fault was that the hotel didnt do coffee in the hotel in the evening. As everything in Venice closes around 11 we had to go back to our room rather then relaxing in the lounge/breakfast area!

Rooms were a little noisy in the evenings but you can close the windows and not hear a thing! Didnt both us at all!

Thank you once again! Amazing hotel, Amazing Staff and Amazing Location!!!!

We used the hotel as our base for a long weekend in Venice. It fitted the bill perfectly, offering a basic, comfortable room and reasonable continental breakfast.

The reception is staffed 24/7, so coming and going as you please isn't a problem. All the staff were friendly & helpful creating a really pleasant atmosphere. There are also nice touches like lending you an umbrella when it's raining.

The real plus point is the location, it's less than 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco & the water bus stops. This means if your travelling light the Airport / Alilaguna / walk to the hotel option is really easy.
The location means you can easily cover San Marco, San Polo, the Accademia end of Dorsoduro and western end of Castello on foot.(Even if you're fat & unfit like me.) As most water buses stop at San Marco getting further afield is easy too.

Other stuff worth knowing:
There's a lift so don't worry about climbing stairs.
No tea & coffee in the room, if you want it bring supplies & a travel kettle.
Breakfast is the only time food and drink is available in the hotel.

I loved the place and would happily stay there again. If you're comfortable with the basic B&B premise I highly recommend it, if you want more from a hotel you could be disappointed.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard will be quieter than rooms facing the street.

I stayed here with my mum and younger brother in August 2011. This hotel was beyond amazing! We loved everything about it, the style, the courtyard, the room and the people!

It was a little tricky to find but once we found it we fell in love. This hotel screamed Venice and made my first trip to Venice memorable.

It was a great feeling waking up and eating breakfast in the beautiful courtyard, the rooms were very venice and the bathroom was super clean (which is the first thing I look at). The people who work there are nothing but friendly and so helpful, i felt like i had known them forever!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough!!!
