“Best hotel I have stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

When we were walking to find the hotel we totally missed the entrance! One small door opens up to a beautifully decorated hotel. The staff (especially Luigi!) was very friendly, and advised us on where to go to eat and places to see. Breakfast is excellent with a variety of food and drinks. The rooms were clean and big enough for a comfortable stay. Could not have had a better stay! Even when staying next to the busy street, with the windows closed you can't hear a thing. Got upgraded to a bigger room even due to a double booking which was a bonus! Even offered a glass of wine for my birthday however did not get time to drink it maybe next time! Recommend this place to anyone staying in Venice.

Beautiful old hotel, friendly staff, very comfy, sound-proofed and air-conditioned rooms, and fantastic breakfast buffets too - we had a great stay here. It's also in a great location within Venice, being just a few minutes walk from both the train station and the Guglie Vaporetto stop. Also in in one of the quieter, more 'local' areas if such a thing still exists in Venice! Some good and reasonably priced restaurants nearby to the north which the locals also use.

My family and I had the pleasure of spending two nights at the Arcadia Boutique Hotel. Our stay was perfection. The hotel is decorated beautifully and elegantly. It is easy to recognize the importance of cleanliness and customer satisfaction to Luigi, the owner. He is on the premises attending to all details and questions. We travel often, yet this was the first hotel we wanted to photograph and remember - both our room and lobby. I saw other people photographing the lobby, as well. In the center, hangs a gorgeous Murano glass chandelier. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for more. We enjoyed scrambled eggs, yogurt, grilled vegetables, fruit, pancakes, breads and rolls. There was a gluten free choice, as well. Meats and cereals were available, too. I'm sure I haven't covered all the possibilities. Between 4 and 6 PM, there was a happy hour. Hors D'oevres were available, as were desserts, various drinks and other options. The location of the hotel was great. We walked to St. Marks and the train station. The water taxi to the airport was a short walk away. Staying in a special hotel certainly adds to the enjoyment of a trip. The Arcadia definitely contributed to our love of Venice.

We stayed at the Arcadia Hotel for five days in June and loved it! The decor and appointments in the room could not have been better and the location of the Hotel is perfect. It's just a seven minute walk (if you walk slowly) from the St Lucia train station, and also walking distance to St Marco Square. You can also catch a water taxi directly to Marco Polo airport from a canal dock less than one minute's walk from the hotel, and the hotel will arrange it.

The staff was friendly and helpful and Luigi was a charming and knowledgeable host. The building is like something out of a painting inside and out. He made us feel more like welcomed guests in a palatial home than customers in a hotel, and his knowledge of the history of the building was most entertaining, as was his droll sense of humor. He was a perfect host!

Can't wait to stay there again!

Room Tip: We have a room right next to the breakfast area, which was great for us, as we are not early risers...

Beautiful hotel with a great location and lots of attention to detail and extra's so definitely a place to enjoy and recommend. Great, attentive service and recommendations and assistance with bookings all great. Rooms a little small, but this did not detract from anything as loved the vibe, the location and all this little boutique hotel had to offer.

This was a nice & clean hotel. The staff was great and very helpful to my now fiance; as they helped him coordinate the location of our dinner & his proposal.
The inside of the hotel is very nice with beautiful Murano glass chandeliers. Our room was very comfortable & clean; no views. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our trip to Italy; although everything was great about it and the staff & service top notch; I don't feel that it all equated to more than double the price of our other hotels.
Venice is not that big - everything is within walking distance. Lots of good restaurants, shops and cafes all close to this hotel.
