“Great place to eat and recharge while visiting venice.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013 via mobile

On the edge of St Marks square this resteraunt served some wonderful food. From platters of cheese & salami's & hams to pasta, pizza's & meats. Of corse wine is flowing and inexpensive. Put this on your list of places to eat while in Venice & near St Marks Square.

“Wonderful food and service at Falciani in Venice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

For our last meal in Venice we visited Falciani Ristorante-Pizzeria. This was a good choice.

Ambience - Excellent. You can dine al fresco or inside. The restaurant is very nicely appointed with antique dark oak panels and mosaic and tiled marble floors. Tables are covered with white linen and spaced properly. The lighting at night is from bright to subdued providing a friendly to romantic atmosphere. The dining experience is suitable for couples, families to small groups of friends. We dined in a small dining room with only two tables for four. Nice!

Food - Very good. We made selections of calamari fritti, salads, minestrone soup and a wonderful pizza. All food was quickly prepared and presented nicely when served. They have great pizza here. All food was fresh and quite tasty. We paired our meals with a Chianti which was wonderful. Complimente a chef.

Service - Excellent. Our servers were friendly, engaging and very attentive. A complimentary glass of a sparkling fruity wine was initially served. Nice touch! Good service makes every dining experience memorable and I must say that the staff here were the best we experienced in Venice.

Cost and food value - Very good. Our meals totaled $68 Euro which included the obligatory Italian govt "service charge." Diners please remember that the Italian govt charges 60% in income taxes here. You may not like it, but that's just the way it is here. We received a great dining experience and even tipped the servers for their extra effort. remember that servers do not get a portion of the restaurant's service charge so help them out when they do a good job.

Summary - High marks for this restaurant. Good food at a reasonable price and great service.
A great place for a nice final romantic dinner with your partner on your last evening in Venice.
Bon appetite. Ciao!

“Terrible.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

5Euros for a 330ml can of coke? Give me a break. Pizza was terrible, I've had better in northern MN. Waiter tried to force bread on us, I had said no already. 12% service charge, what service I received I am unsure of. Lame tourist trap.

“Would go again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

Had a lovely meal at the Ristorante Birreria Falciani, Very good location and not overpriced as many are. We ordered from the tourist menu with no extra charges we paid for what we got,
plus service charge of course which we didn't mind as the service was very good and the waiter very helpful and friendly. We had an enjoyable evening and would certainly go back.

“By the corner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

Falciani was the last restaurant we went to in our trip to Venice. The interior is good and different table arrangement is available. I would rate it the best restaurant we experienced. The service was prompt. Their seafood and pasta was up to our liking. I enjoyed it. The prices were high but equivalent to other restaurants in Venice as most target tourists.
