“I recommend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

I've been twice in this hotel and I can only write eulogies ... Staff extremely polite and charismatic. The rooms are warm and full of details that enchanted me!
Full breakfast ...
The location was perfect for me, beside a beautiful park.. perfect for walking and running (I love!!!) and in a part of Venice different..
I recommend!

“Quiet Gem on the edge of the action”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

Stayed here 2 nights after a cruise. The location was excellent; close enough to the action, yet not close enough for the noise! Easy access from the cruise ports via the Alilaguna Blue line water bus (take to the Arsenal stop - turn right walk over 1 bridge and your standing in front of the hotel). The hotel itself while small is cozy and quaint. Quiet rooms with canal views, a delicious free breakfast every morning. Desk staff that were all friendly and helpful in recommending dining options, info for tickets or simply arranging onward transportation. From the hotel it's an easy 5-10 minute walk to St Mark's square. Would easily stay here again as well as recommend to friends and family!

Room Tip: Stayed in room 403 - A small room with an amazing view of the canal all the way to St Marks Sq.

“A Great Value in Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

We were really impressed with this hotel. It was small, quiet, comfortable, and a great value for the money. It is a little off the beaten path, which meant that it was quieter than some of the other hotels, but still only a short walk away from St. Mark's Square. The staff was friendly and attentive. The rooms were comfortable and the views were phenomenal! I spent a lot of time researching Venice hotels, and was really excited about staying here. We were not disappointed. In Venice, you could easily pay a lot more and get a lot less!

“Little Gem in Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

Stayed for two nights while in Venice on Honeymoon. Close to water taxi drop-off point. Breakfast was wonderful and very varied. There is a nice lttle restaurant/pub and ice-cream shop next door that you must try. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Room had a good view of the dock. Short walk to San Marco Square.

“Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Of all the places we stayed during our 2 week trip to Italy, we found Venice to be the most difficult. The reviews were mixed on hotesls; the places we wanted to stay were already booked; we were nervous about not getting a good value, etc. So, we ended up booking Bucintoro despite the fact that a couple of reviews were not positive. Having now visited Venice and stayed at Hotel Bucintoro, we thought the hotel was perfect.

One of the biggest issues of Venice is hauling around your luggage and actually FINDING your hotel. Hotel Bucintoro is really accessible because you can take the water taxi that travels the outside of the canal (route 41/42) and stops at Arsenale. From this water stop, its literally about a 1-2 minute walk to the hotel.

Some reviews state that the hotel is a bit off the beat and track. If you're in Italy, you're going to be walking. You can get to the major town square in less than 5 minutes. That works out to be an advantage as there are SO many tourists in Venice. Having a hotel that is not in the thick of things we found to be advantageous.

Yes, the rooms aren't huge but by American standards, very few rooms in Italy are. But, the room was bigger than our hotel room in Rome! In terms of view; some reviewers didn't like big boats blocking the view. Quite honestly, how much time do you spend in your room? We thought the view was fine.

Per previous reviewers, we thought the breakfast at Bucintoro was great. It was the first hotel that we actually found cut up fruit (we're spoiled as we're from CA!).

We also found the service to be very good and the hotel manager very helpful.

If we visit return Venice, I would stay here again.
