We got a bad taste in our months at check in. Desk clerk told us she would need to make copies of our passports, come back in 10 minutes. Took our stuff to the room, got settled, came back 30 minutes later. We were told she would need 10 more minutes. We went to lunch and came back 45 minutes later and she was still not done with them.

Our room was FULL of ants, taking a shower created a swimming pool in the bathroom. The rooms were cute but uncomfortable and over all disappointing.

Just got back after a 3 day trip to Venice, gear location, friendly staff, decent breakfast and just behind and to the left on the canal just over the bridge is a great pub Il Santo Bevitore. We stayed in room 201 and although a little basic it was great. 15 main walk to Rialto bridge and station/bus terminal and 5 mins from vaperetto and casino. The area to the north of the hotel is beautiful. Its a Jewish quarter and non touristy. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay in and I travel 3-4 times a year

We had a 2 day stay at Hotel Tintoretto. Out of all the hotels and B&Bs we stayed in during our tour of France and Italy (total of 8), this is the least likely we would return to.

Cons:
Extremely overpriced although this seems to be true of most of the hotels in Venice.
You have to pay extra for wi-fi.
Our room was beat up, dead bugs on the ceilings and walls.
Bathroom is extremely small, but this is common in most European hotel rooms. There was mold in the shower which we had to turn off while we were using because it was not draining properly.
No elevator.

Pro's
Not too far from the Rialto, a reasonable walk to the train station (about 20 minutes) but a bit of a walk to St Marks Square.
Our AC worked well.

I was initially apprehensive of my stay at Hotel Tintoretto after seeing the mixed reviews on Trip Advisor but I didn't have a problem with my five night stay.

The good points as others have mentioned is the location, either a 15 minute walk from P.Roma bus station or two stops on the vaporetto number two line. If it's a hot day you’re probably best getting the vaporetto to the San Marcuola stop and walking five minutes.

The guy on reception was friendly and helpful unlike others have said, city tax is mandatory so had no problem paying this up front but was also given the option to pay at the end of my stay.

My room was on the third floor, which meant walking some flight of steps which wasn't an issue for me. However, if you are not able bodied there is no step-free access available so the steps would be a problem but perhaps this is a Venice issue in general.

I had a double room which was of good size and space, as was the bathroom but the shower was slightly on the small side (but no problem to get into personally). A minibar in the room would have been handy to store water but they have a policy of not to bring food back into rooms.

Overall I was happy with my stay and thought the negative comments were a bit harsh as I didn't experience any of the same problems. Breakfast was average but still provided enough options to fuel me up until lunchtime. I also had the problem of the pigeons flocking around the breakfast tables outside but I guess there’s not much the hotel can do about that.

The location is very good. Near restaurants, close to vaporetto station.major dislike is the bathroom. It is so small that u cannot move inside the douche cabine. The area it's noisy. No minibar in the room.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful three night stay here. Our room was located next to a little bridge which crossed the small canal flowing outside,it was really atmospheric and this helped make our stay in Venice all the more memorable.

The staff was unfriendly...perhaps because they don't speak good English?! On our arrival it was early for check in, the receptionist left our luggage in the tiny lobby where everyone could have access and told us to come back...They didn't finish with our documents till the night and failed to tell us that the €3 tax is per day, not for the whole stay as we thought! The room was clean, but without refrigerator and the AC didn't really work? Oh and the breakfast was very poor- so not 'Italian' as I've experienced Italian culture a lot.We had to leave about 5am on our last day and the receptionist started arguing with us that it's too early and we should have told him that we would this early, and they didn't give us a breakfast pack as normal hotels do if you leave earlier than breakfast....In general, dissatisfied from the hotel...

Saluti
