“Beautiful Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Cannot recommend this hotel enough, where to start? The location of this hotel is complete perfection, in a safe place so close to Rialto and St. Marks, lovely restaurants and cafes near by! The Christmas decorations and the decor of the hotel were gorgeous. We were very early, made so welcome to Venice by reception staff, think it was Andrea? Such a polite man that the hotel should be proud of. Went up to our room and walked in to a warm toasty and spotless bedroom. Wifi, mini bar, bathroom and closet. What more could we ask for? The staff were incredible, rang down for a bottle opener and were helped by a very polite gentleman. Finally the breakfast, so quiet and fresh food it was delicious. Again, staff always helping. I would like to thank your hotel for an unforgettable stay in Venice, we had such a lovely time and will most certainly be returning.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel about 2 years ago for a portion of our dream vacation / honeymoon. The hotel Giorgione was the first hotel we stayed at on our month long trip, and is the one hotel we still remember, and think about when we remember our trip.

So, let's hit on all the points.

1. Employees: The employees were all incredibly friendly, courteous, professional, and really seemed to go out of their way to make us feel at home.

2. Rooms: The room we were in was a loft. It had a bed upstairs, and a living area and bathroom on the main floor. When we walked in the first time, our jaws dropped to the floor. Everything was beautiful, clean, and wonderfully decorated. The light fixtures were made locally in Murano, and were really a treat. The exposed wooden beams were a really neat feature.

3. Amenities: We weren't expecting much from the breakfast. The "American" breakfast and the "European" breakfast concepts are quite different. That being said, the breakfast at Giorgione was AMAZING! There was a massive spread, with tons and tons of options, excellently prepared food, and ample portions. There was so much provided at breakfast, we were able to skip lunch! They also offer afternoon tea, and free wifi.

4. Location: The hotel is located on the far east end of what is in essence the "Main Street" of Venice. About 100 yards from the front entrance is Str. Nuova, which is the epicenter of the tourist-friendly part of Venice, and is the walkway that leads all the way to the train station. It is also located close to a canal, so if you take a water taxi, there isn't a long hike to the front door with your luggage.

If my wife or I ever find ourselves back in Venice, we will absolutely 100% stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed at this hotel twice on the trip, book-ending a cruise that left out of Venice. Both times...

Walking is great near the hotel everything you need ! Enjoy !!!
Ops! There is no tea or water to drink in your room , ( free one) I hope and wish they will add for future , if you take medicine before bed time take your own bottle of water.

Venice is beautiful !!! Take your time to walk every corner

Dear Guest,
Let me thank you for having shared your experience regarding your stay with us and for having chosen the Hotel Giorgione for your holiday in Venice.
I am very pleased to have loved Venice, it is such a unique and magical city, and I am glad that our structure and staff contributed in making even more special your venetian stay.
Thank you for your suggestion regarding free tea and water in your room. Let me kindly explain you that every room is equipped with a mini-bar equipped with all sorts of drinks and snacks. For hygienic reasons we provide commercial sealed bottles, and do not fill up our own bottles for our guests. In any case, tap water in Venice is perfectly drinkable. Concerning the tea-making facilities, in Venice – being considered as an historical heritage – electrical appliances with open heating elements (such as kettles) are bound in public environments unless a special permission is asked. To overcome this obstacle out bar is open from 11:00 am until after midnight.
I take this opportunity to express our willingness to welcome you back and to wish you a Happy Christmas.
Best regards,
Francesca Magliaretta

The hotel was excellento! Located perfectly for strolls to the Rialto, San Marco and plenty of other landmarks. The concierge was fantastic and made our first trip to Venice much easier by providing great info and advice. Rooms are more quaint than modern but spacious for the location and made our stay a joy.

From start to finish the whole experience was amazing, it was our first anniversary and the hotel had arranged a bottle of champagne and a lovely hand written note congratulating us. The room was amazing and full of Venetian charm, we had a junior suite overlooking the beautiful courtyard. When we returned from our first night out my fiancé was presented with a beautiful heart charm, this was such a lovely gesture. Every member of staff went out of their way to greet us. The reception guys gave us lots of time to advise where to go. Location is excellent, just a 5 minute from the centre. Thank you for such a wonderful time!!

First and foremost the staff are accommodating and friendly! That is very very important. The hotel room is neat and the the decor is very Venice! Its just lovely. If I could only stay for another day or two. Overall, its worth a second visit!

What a beautiful old place. Didnt feel like a hotel , more a grand mansion.
Easy walk from the water ferry.
We were expecting a small pokey room but were thrilled with our upgraded room , huge bedroom, complete with sitting room and private patio area.
Luxurious and ornately decorated bedroom. Felt like royalty
Delicious buffet breakfast in another beautifully decorated dining area.
Front desk staff were exceedingly friendly.
A great memory of Venice.
Thank you
