“Good location- basic 3 star hotel.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

We stayed here for 4 nights in September. The location of the hotel is very good. Literally a one minute walk to the rialto bridge. Along with many lovely restaurants on this side. It is around a 10 minute walk to San marco through many a street! The rooms are basic and smaller however this is normal for Europe, but good for what we needed. The hotel has a restaurant aswell, we never ate here as there were so many other options, however I did look at the menu and it looked nice. Breakfast was included in our rate. Nothing special. In conclusion this hotel was good if you are on a budget and wanted to explorr venice. next time I think I would spend more and have a little bit more luxury! As Venice is so beautiful!

I do not recommend this hotel if you are travekling as a young couple. They will put you on the 5th floor and check in can obly be done at 2pm. Breakfast served late 8:15am. Their employees also come late. Also the receptionist person are not friendly in giving directions.

The water pipes are also clogged takes 5mins to clear

But good locations to the nearby water transports and also far from busy streets. So it wont bother you @ nighttime

We should have read the trip advisor reviews before booking this hotel. Their website is misleading as others have said in their reviews. The classic double was tiny, it had a small cupboard for cloths, the safe was half the normal size and wasn't bolted down, it was extremely dated, and finally the AC didn't work.

They're policy clearly stated that they do not give refunds for early checkout, but we didn't care. An hour after checking in, we cheeked out and booked a room at the Hotel Bella Venezia. We were out $800 euro and didn't care, it would have ruined our trip to Venice if we stayed there. Their three start rating is way to generous!

Booked this as a last minute Groupon deal, flew within in 8 hours ! Took the water bus from the airport to the Rialto Bridge (€15.00 each) The water taxi's are more expensive. Hotel is in a good location near the Rialto Bridge down a side street. It has a tired exterior as many of the other hotels, carpet had seen better days. We were on the 4th floor in Room 25, There are LOTS of steps and no lift, but hey, don't rush :-) our room was clean, had air conditioning that worked. The bathroom was clean too with working shower and hair dryer, house keeping was everyday with clean towels. Friendly staff. For a three night stay it was great, you don't go to Venice to stay in your hotel. Continental breakfast and good coffee. The Hotel does have a restaurant but it was expensive. Many good restaurants or Trattorias in this location. LOADS of walking take some comfy shoes. Visited 6 out of the top 10 sights. Don't get caught out by the MUSIC listening supplement in some of the cafes in San Marco square. (€6 each!!!!) FABULOUS time, average hotel. 2 satisfied 40 somethings :-)

If you only listen to one hotel review on Trip Advisor make it this one!!! I cannot stress this enough! I recently traveled there for my honeymoon and unfortunately had a terrible experience. Save yourself the pain and humiliation. There is no elevator, but lots of steps! The rooms are small, dirty and none of them offer air conditioning. During the Spring/Summer months you are not able to sleep with the windows open due to the mosquitos (which come out at night). My new wife was eaten alive while we tried to sleep. It left us feeling sick the next day. The management team is not friendly and the photos on the website do not accurately reflect the interior of the hotel. We ended our time at the hotel early and headed for the Westin Europa! We regret our stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: There are no good rooms. Select a room at another hotel.

We stayed here 3 nights and it was nice enough there is no lift but there is someone to help with your bags. The weather was warm and we were on the 4th floor and our air conditioning didn't seem to work but opening the windows was enough. The room was small but clean as was the bathroom.
The location is excellent very close to the Rialto bridge and transport. The staff were friendly and helpful. If I went back to Venice (no hurry) I would stay here again.
