“Venetian excellence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014 via mobile

Easy access to hotel from airport, 15 mins on bus and short 5 mins walk and you are there. Staff really friendly and speak good English. Restaurants and major attractions are walkable. Hotel clean and rooms have all that you need. Plenty for breakfast and the staff are always on hand to serve extra coffees and tea. The hotel gave me bottle of prosecco for my birthday. Plenty of choice in the little bar and you can sit either outside or in the bar and watch the world go by.

A wonderful hotel that is close to the bus station so no dragging bags through little alleyways and over bridges etc. Spotlessly clean with beautiful modern bathrooms and bedrooms that are in keeping with Venetian style decor etc. Staff are wonderful especially Robert G. Those who have been will now who I am talking about!!!! Certainly a character! Gardens are beautiful also. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The lift is so tiny so would not recommend to people that use a wheelchair. You can only just get a suitcase in!

Room Tip: Some bathrooms have very small showers so it is a bit of a squeeze. Ask for a room that has a large...

This is a superb hotel conveniently placed near both Railway and bus station. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts had a great choice to accomadate everyone's needs. The staff are all so helpful and nothing was to much trouble with a special mention to Serena, Gloria, Ibrahim and Robert. As it was our Golden Wedding the hotel gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate. We had such a wonderful time in Venice with our family who had treated us for this special occassion, This hotel and Robert ( such a character) were the icing in the cake.

The hotel is close to Piazzale Roma. For arrivals by plane or highway and for people who has luggage is a great option.
Good rooms, delicious breakfast and great staff.
I emphasize the friendly clerk Gloria, who spared no efforts to help and attend to my group

Having stayed here in 2012, I took 5 friends plus several of their spouses to stay for 5 days in September, 2013. I was remembered by the lovely staff (especially Marta and Roberto) who performed their roles with grace, friendliness and a willingness that one does not normally find in this city which is flooded with tourists 12 months of the year. (Either of the staff mentioned could easily get a job at the Ritz in Paris - or anywhere else exalted - in my opinion.)
The hotel's situation is perfect for access to the main station, the buses and traghetti for canal travel, either up the Grand Canal or to the islands of Murano, Burano, etc., or one can walk through many of the calle to further parts of the city, coming across many interesting sights on the way. We discovered some excellent restaurants by walking through nearby streets. The breakfast is, unusually, a full cooked breakfast, with all the normal accompaniments of pastries, breads, confiture, cakes, fruits and juices: enough to equip one for a day's excursions. Again, I was permitted to leave luggage for a period before finally quitting Venice. I shall always return to the Hotel Olimpia and recommend it to others!

Room Tip: You can choose either a room overlooking the small canal alongside (but may get a little bit of nois...

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is next to the parking area, bus and train station, so it is really well-located. You can reach the vaporetto in 5 minutes walk, the Rialto in 15 minutes walk. The room has everything you need, it is renovated and furbished authentically. The bathroom is wonderful.
The breakfast is excellent, with wide selection.

The hotel has the very convinient location: near the bus-stop, the coach and you can walk there in 3-5 minutes depends on how many luggages you have :)
I came to Venice on the rainny cold day in February but just when I got in the hotel I can feel the cleaness, dry, warmth and cosy. The rain can not stop me from enjoying the beauty of Venice from the window of my room and the view is phatastic!!!
I made the very stupid mistake when i check out of the hotel - i left my wallet with passport and money in the safe box. I just realised that when I was on the way to Switzeland. This is my 1st trip to Europe and it's really a nightmare to me. The Hotel Manager - Selena and the other staffs (Andrea and Cheakh) did help me a lot. They not only cheer me up but advise me the better way to solve my problems like: suggesting to choose the UPS to courier my passport to Switzeland so that I dont have to waste 1 day to come back and pick up my passport, deposit my money to bank account....I do feel tough and very appreciate for their help.
It really make my Europe trip perfect!!!!
I will come back one day! See you guys soon!!!

Room Tip: It depends on which days of the year you come but room with canal view will maximise your taste of V...
