“Holidays with the Venetian Nobles”

a wonderful river, saw by boat, gondola or bike....

My favourite tours are from Mira Taglio, the fish market in Dolo to the huge Villa Pisani, with its labyrinth, or to Malcontenta, then Fusina ferry boat to Lido's beach and return.

Here you can find some bike trips http://www.piste-ciclabili.com/regione-veneto

“Riviera del Brenta - Bikes not so welcome ...Bicicletas nao tao bem vindas...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

English -------------Nice staying, near Venezia. Although most of the topics of attraction of the Riviera del Brenta pomote a bike ride along the river to enjoy the houses and "villas" in the region, unfortunately all current and former politicians in 20 years promise a bike path, and do not fulfill . Unfortunately this portion of the Veneto, beautiful, has no bike lanes, we ride by bicycle almost nonexistent , place full of boulders and cars going to sneak by your side. Now do not think that is the wish of any parent family for their children. Despite restaurates and hotel infrastructure in the region are clean, warn against the version of this bike ride. Unfortunately in Italy things take so long to come out of the paper, and in this case, the region of the river Brenta is for more than twenty years late, in the hands of politicians who just "promise! Boat trips only recommended for those who have the patience to navigate the river slowly, beautiful at dawn and dusk.
Port.

“a different way to experience Venice and surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2012

I rarely write reviews but this trip with Il Burchiello really merits it. Everything was excellent - we started from Venice at 9 in the morning, leaving San Marco square behind us and passing through the venetian lagoon. Once on the Brenta river we stopped at 3 beautiful Ville venete: Villa Malcontenta, Villa Barchessa Valmarana and at last the beatiful Villa Pisani in Stra. We had lunch at a restaurant on the way, Il Burchiello. The food was nice and you could choose whatever you wanted - which for me was great being vegetarian!
The boat was new and comfortable, with a/c, washroom and bar service inside.

At the end of the day we were so grateful to our guide Paola for the professional explanation: she was really great and kind, ready to answer at every doubts and questions we had! And the rest of the crew, Mauro and Gabriele, were really really nice and friendly too!!

The cruise was a wonderful and relaxing trip and a unique way to experience the Riviera del Brenta.
