“airport transfer to/from Giglio/San Marco”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2014

Looking up various options to get in to Venice from the airport, this seemed the most efficient and reasonably priced way to/from our hotel near San Marco. Train/bus would leave us with a change to a vaporetto; water taxi would take us direct to the hotel jetty but €90 each way !; Alilaguna go from the airport dock to Venice or the Lido with a regular service - all details can be seen online.
Our inbound flight got in at 7pm so we didn't want too long a transfer. The Arancio line goes via the Grand Canal and stops at several locations down to San Marco.
It is a bit of a walk from the arrivals hall but it is a covered way. Having pre-booked return tickets - a reasonable €25 each, you exchange a voucher at the dock ticket office - they seem to run to schedule and it is a relatively quick trip speeding across the lagoon past Murano - about an hour to Giglio - in a launch with covered cabins fore and aft. Not much of a view at night but we got to see the Canal from the water on the return.
It worked extremely well for us and we would use it every time; no changes; comfortable, quite quick; reasonable cost and got us where we needed. Ideal. Unless you have money to burn, would recommend as the best.

“Airport Transfer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

We only used this for our transfer from the airport to our hotel (Hilton Molino Stucky) and back again. We could not fault it. Ran to time and our trip was approx 1hr 40mins. Our Hotel jetty was the last stop, but this does give you the chance to relax and take in some of the views going from island to island. It gives you some sense of bearings when deciding what sights you plan to visit and see. The water taxi stop is a 10 minute walk from outside the airport (turn left, it is sign posted). We bought return tickets and purchased them in the uk (online) before travelling. This worked out cheaper. When you redeem your voucher for tickets, at the ticket hut on the dock, they will give you a city map, very helpful. This also shows the time table for the Blue and Orange Lines.
This service for us meant very little handling of our luggage and walking.

“We used it just to ferry from the Lido Island to the Airport.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

We didn't use it for any tours - just as a shuttle from our hotel to the airport when leaving. I bought our tickets online before the trip and it was convenient to use. At the time we went, it wasn't busy at all and we had a nice, relaxing and quick trip to the airport.
