“A nice change of pace”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

The owner/operator is incredibly kind, energetic, and genuinely helpful. He speaks English well and is able (and very willing) to explain everything to you without any problems.

The food is quite good, the frying technique is excellent. It is a very nice change of pace from the pizza, wine, and seafood dishes that you will be eating for the rest of the trip.

The restaurant is quite small. I think there are four tables total, so it might be a little cramped if you go when it is busy but the food is very easy to take with you and eat on the go.

“Awesome food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Great food especially when pasta is all you've been having. Great owner, super friendly and super generous. Piled up the snacks at the brim. Don't really have seats but I think the food is great for eating as you go anyway.

Really loved the chicken wings. Would've went back many more times if I found the place earlier during the trip there. Highly recommended!

“good, tipical and cheap”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

This is a traditional place that sells deep fried food: delicious, cheap and friendly.
There are just two tables where people can seat and eat, but it's ok to bey food and eat around.
The owner is very nice, and cook whit a special oven that cook with little amount of oil.

We had lunch with 10 euros each, drinking a glass of wine: this is not typical, in Venice!

“Very Yummy And Affordable!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

We ate late lunch in Fritto & Frutta as soon as we arrived in Venice by train from Florence. We had about 3.5 trays of various deep fried goodies for the 8 of us. It went well with the drinks we had, smoothie, beer, soda. We asked to give us a variety of seafood, chicken, pork etc. and it was all superb. My personal favorite were the ribs. Be ready to stand. There are no chairs in this tiny resto. Would recommend to everyone visiting Venice.

“Nothing amazing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

Not that great really, just different types of fried items heated up before serving. Price was ok, I wouldn't say it was that cheap really. The main plus point was the very nice owner.
