“Probably the best pizza in town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

Far away from the crowd on San Marco Square, you can order or excellent pizze or polenta with baccala or salumi. Friendly and quick service. Linea 1 brings you to the doorstep.

“A little heaven in Venice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2011

Our trip to Venice was poorly timed- All Saints Day long weekend. Everybody was there with a friend! We somehow found our way to San'Elena and then wandered into Vecia Gina 'just to see what they had'. I have to say that this place is magical. Nothing touristy, just quiet, friendly and a lovely little piece of heaven in amongst the hordes. To make it even better, their prices are not inflated and the food is really really great. Make sure you try the tarts filled with tomato sauce with a chunk of mozzarella in the middle (ok so I had 2). They also had a wood fire pizza oven warming up but we were too early. To add to the thrill there were notes pinned to the wall of Brad Pitt having also wandered in. Sadly he did not show again.....
