La Locanda Di Orsaria is not an amazing luxury five star hotel however is located in a brilliant location, staff are very friendly and helpful. Our check in with my partner was a day after my birthday in November 2014. Surprisingly minutes after we checked in, the room service knocked on our door, said "We know its your birthday and we would like to say happy birthday" and handed over a bottle champain with nuts and crisps on the side. These are small thought that really count and it put a huge smile on my face for the rest of the day. They were very helpful in many sense. Location was amazing with the St Lucia train station, Water bus stops and bus stations (arrival from airport transfer) were all steps away. I loved every single experience in Venice however the city is very very expensive.

We liked the location of the hotel. So close to the train station. Staff were great. The gentleman in the breakfast room was really friendly. He can make you all sorts of coffee. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

Stayed in this hotel recently with a friend. Got cheap offer through otel.com. The hotel was situated just beside the train station and its easy to find. The room was pretty decent, just that the toilet bowl was kind of small and situated in a corner with limited movement space. The room comes with free breakfast, an old man which serves the breakfast was polite and nice, but the choice are limited. The staff at the reception was very friendly. She give a good and detail instruction for travelling and sightseeing in venice. When we asked her for a nice restaurant, she introduce us to one which was about 5-8min walk from the hotel. The food was nice.

All in all, the food in venice was nice, except we had a bad experience in a nearby restaurant. The lady outside the restaurant was polite, and we see that the review in tripadvisor was good, so we decided to give it a try. The indian staff was kind of rushing us to make order as we still looking at the menu. The way he treat other customer is different from us.

I would recommend this hotel to my friend next time.

This hotel is literally about a 2 minute walk from the train station and vaparetto stops. No bridges to cross with suitcases. Plus, it's a great hotel!! Down a narrow side street right off the main street from the station, so it's quiet. The nicest staff!! They went out of their way for us! The breakfast was a feast. The gentleman running it took great pride in the offerings. Every table got a fresh handpicked basket of pastries, in addition to the basket of bread offerings already on each table, and the buffet of meats, yogurts, cheeses, juice, etc. He also ran down a list of at least 10 different hot beverages available. Rooms and hotel were very clean! Unless you want a five star fancy hotel like the Clooney's had, STAY HERE!!!! Just keep in mind there's no elevator so you might have to climb a couple of flights of steps with your suitcases.

Room Tip: If you have trouble with steps, request a lower floor room.

Venice is a busy, fascinating but expensive city. To find a hotel in a very quiet street where a good night's sleep is assured, is only minutes from St.Lucia train station and water taxis, has clean comfortable rooms, provides an enjoyable breakfast with great cappuccinos and is not expensive is a hotel to book with confidence for a memorable holiday.
The courteous staff are friendly, speak good English and are always on hand to assist you to enjoy your Venice experience. Left luggage, while you make the most of your final hours is not a problem.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and only wish I had found it on my other trips to this wonderful city.

Breakfast was excellent~ Barista's cappucino and espressos were delicious! He was warm and welcoming, Pastries were fresh every day. Great Breads/ rolls, croissants., cereals and cheese meats, yogurts, fresh juices. Location was perfect, quiet street, close to train station, water Bus stops. Will stay there again. Highly recommended. So glad we found this spot!

Upon reading a blogger's advice about the cost and difficulty of getting one's baggage from the train station to any hotel across the Canal Grande, I cancelled my original reservation and booked into La Locanda di Orsaria. It was an easy walk from the station, and the vaporetto stop nearby provided easy and economical access to the rest of Venezia. The room was a bit dark, but quite comfortable with a very nice bathroom. Worked out perfectly for me, and I'll certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: No ascensore, so persons with multiple bags or problems climbing stairs should ask for a ground floo...
