“A great little place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013 via mobile

One of the highlights of our Venice trip, after a long journey from Chicago. I would like to say that in this case, the Tripadvisor rating system really worked, as the hotel had high ratings and good reviews. This little hotel, is so nice that I am almost reluctant to tell more people about it and keep the secret to ourselves....but I will. Now, everything in Venice is expensive. This is common knowledge. Bearing this in mind, I think we got great value for our money. We paid $240 per night for two nights, in a family room of about 25'x20, plus a very nice bathroom.

Highlight #1 - arriving: Landing at Marco Polo airport I was somewhat phased by the concept of taking the Allilaguna water-shuttle to Venice; but it was totally fine. It was €15 for each of us and although slow (over an hour) it was pleasent. We had been instructed to get off at Zaccaria, which turned out to be only 100 yards from Plaza S Marco. Looking at the map, the short walk (2 minutes) made us a little nervous as you go down the narrowest of walkways. This turned out to be normal for Venice but when you first arrive you don't immediately expect it. All of a sudden, there is the little hotel. The highlight was that the staff were so polite and clearly new how to treat a tired American family of four such as us.

The Hotel Le Isole a a beautiful boutique hotel, in a great location -- a VERY easy walk from the vaporetto stop and very close to St. Mark's Piazza.

We stayed in a classic double which was tastefully decorated, very comfortable, and immaculate. Our room had a walk-in shower, which we requested, and the shower was very strong (which we ladies really appreciate). The staff was friendly and very helpful, and the breakfast was exceptional, with made-to-order eggs, bacon, sausage, as well as meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, rolls, far-too-good pastries, cereals, yogurt, coffee, etc., with very attentive attendants.

The only flaw is that the assigned room is very important. We stayed in room 209, with wonderful light from windows on 2 sides. HOWEVER, one set overlooked a bar and the other overlooked a restaurant, both places quite noisy. With the windows closed, it's not too bad. but we like to sleep with the windows open, and this just wasn't possible. In fairness, the hotel offered us to change rooms the next day, but we were already unpacked, etc., and we were staying only 2 more nights. I understand other rooms were much quieter.

Room Tip: Take the 4.1 or 5.1 vaporetto from the train station. Be sure you reserve a QUIET room. There are s...

We stayed in Venice for two days, this hotel was perfect. The location is walking distance (five munutes) to Piazza san Marco. The room, staff and service were superb, we never had any problem with this hotel, we felt right at home, venice is a beautiful city and this hotel makes you feel very welcomed here. Breakfast was delicious, the lady that served breakfast, was always very attentive, offering us various breakfast options, she is a keeper, loved the hotel, loved venice, will go back again for sure!

We recently stayed there based on the reviews on here, and were not disappointed! What a find in Venice! It's in a great location, with easy access to transportation and St. Marks Square. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were super helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the mini-bar is stocked daily with free drinks. When we go back to Venice, we will definitely be staying at the Hotel Le Isole again.

Room Tip: Air conditioning is available only seasonally, so if you're there during the off months and it...

We recently stayed three nights at Le Isole and can honestly say that none of the previous reviewers have been wrong. The hotel is easy to find being just a couple of minutes walk from the vaparetto stop at S.Zaccaria and as it is also just about as far from St Mark's Square it is very conveniently situated.
The hotel itself is excellent, starting with reception and the friendly welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. The room we had was an economy which was the smallest of the rooms available and overlooked the restaurant Roberto. The description may say small, but it was well laid out and gave the impression of space. At no time did we feel cramped and with two easy chairs we were always comfortable. In addition we had a mini bar which was free and always restocked and, of course, a safety deposit box to ensure security.
Breakfast was excellent with meats and cheeses together with pastries, rolls, fruit and jams as well as tea, coffee or juice as preferred. The waitress also offered to cook eggs, bacon and/or sausages to order if we wanted them.
Just outside the breakfast room was the inner courtyard which was available for breakfast if you wanted to sit outside. As the weather was good on our stay we used this courtyard in the late evening when we returned after a long day. It was an ideal place to rest and meant we were not confined to our room before going out for the evening.
The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and all the staff friendly and helpful. I would fully recommend Le Isole to any visitor to Venice, just don't fully book it when we want to go!!!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Although the rooms were small the layout made most of the room including space to have 2 chairs to sit on and not the bed all the time. The breakfast was fantastic with the offer of a freshly cook breakfast every morning at no extra charge. You also had access to coffee and biscuits at anytime during the day also at no additional charge. The mini bar was also included in the price of the room and was restocked every second day. We found the staff very friendly and would assist us with any request. We would certainly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel based on the reviews and were very pleased. This hotel is truly a gem. Our room was lovely with comfortable beds and a modern spacious bathroom. Despite being a small hotel, there was always someone at the desk to recommend restaurants and to meet all our needs. For a small hotel, the breakfasts were very good, with offers to cook eggs, etc. to order. I love small, personal hotels and this one ran ks among the best I have ever stayed at.
