“Magnificent Church.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

This is the big, beautiful, domed church, which appears in many of the best photographic views of Venice. It is well-known for appearing in a beautiful and much-loved,19th cent. painting by Turner. It's well worth visiting to see the architectural carvings close up, and to enter inside, to see the beautiful altar paintings. Well worth leaving a (voluntary) generous donation in the box.

“Take the time to see the sacristy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Although the floor was under construction, it was still worth the visit. It was definitely worth the 3 Euros to see the artwork displayed in the sacristy. Very impressive.

“Disappointing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

We visited the church and it was closed. So we went back 2 hours later. The best part of church is behind construction barriers and the floor mosaic is covered. We did pay to go into the sacristy for beautiful art.
