“Best small modern art museum I've seen in a while”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

This diminutive museum packs a wallop with its well balanced collection of art works from the 20th century, from Max Ernst (who was apparently married to Peggy G for a few years), Mondrian and Kandinsky to Picasso, Dali and many others. Nice little restaurant for coffee and dessert before you leave.

“A compact but interesting collection”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

An excellent collection housed within a compact space. Expect Pollack, Picasso, Klee, Kandinsky and Mondrian. Modern art at its finest but €14 entrance fee, be prepared.

“Variable”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

The collection is sited over the canal from the Doges Palace. Light and airy building and nice court yard. Some interesting pieces of art as well as plenty of questionable stuff. At least the Pollock room has a sofa. Entrance at €14 with no guide leaflet is too steep. Only worth the visit if you are really into the modern stuff.

“Good place for a rainy day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Great collection of modern art in a lovely setting. If you like modernists such as Picasso, Chagall, Kandinsky etc, this is for you. Great sculpture garden too. Lovely setting on the side of the Grand Canal. Take time to walk through the area from Accademia bridge and enjoy all the art and glass shops.
